  • ICON Park Offering FREE Rides On The Carousel On The Promenade Today

    It has been a stressful week for Orlando residents, tourists and Floridians displaced to the Orlando region by Hurricane Ian and ICON Park on International Drive is celebrate seeing the back of Hurricane Ian by offering FREE tickets today, September, 30, to the Carousel on The Promenade The park commented on its instagram page "We know there are many tourists that have been trapped in an I-Drive hotel room for days and others who are simply displaced, so we’re offering free tickets today, Sept. 30, to the Carousel on The Promenade as a way to make up for the time they have lost." ICON Park is working to re-open all the attractions at the popular I-Drive entertainment complex as soon as possible, including The Wheel, which remains closed.

  • Orlando International Airport Re-opens After Multi Day Closure

    Orlando International Airport has resumed normal operations today, Friday September 30 at 12 pm after ceasing all commercial operations on Wednesday, September 28th at 10:30am. due to Hurricane Ian. According to airport officials, the airport resumed passenger flights on Friday, September 30, at 12 p.m. after two days of closures due to Hurricane Ian. A spokesperson from the airport said "This decision was made after a thorough investigation of any property damage and a careful consideration for the safety and security of the traveling public and airport employees,” Yesterday, September 29, major flooding affected large areas of Orlando, where all major roads leading into Orlando International Airport were closed to to extensive flooding. Today all roads leading into the airport, as well as on property roadways are clear, with airport parking facilities also re-opened. Airport officials say that a number of airlines are adjusting their schedules, with travelers being advised to contact airline and rental car companies directly for the status of individual flights and cars.

  • Tickets Are Available NOW For Tonight’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

    Walt Disney World has re-opened today Friday September 30 and is hosting a Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party tonight ion the Magic Kingdom. The ticketed event was previously SOLD OUT, but with Hurricane Ian causing many guests to cancel their Walt Disney World trips, tickets are back on sale. As of this morning, tickets can be purchased in person at Magic Kingdom guest relations for tonights event only. Tickets are not available online, and must be purchased in person. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is completely sold out for the entire season, tonight is the only opportunity to purchase tickets.

  • Gatorland Alligator Attraction To Remain Closed Due To Extensive Flooding

    The ever popular Gatorland gator attraction on South Orange Blossom Trail is to remain closed, Friday 30 September due to extensive flooding in and around the attraction. The good news is that the alligators, together with the other animals and birds that call Gatorland home are safe and being looked after by staff. Gatorland CEO Mark McHugh explained on an Instagram post that the park is seeing extensive flooding near its front entrance. “The good news is the creek stopped rising. We’ve got a bunch of water in Gatorland right now but rest assured all of our animals are safe, all of the enclosures are in great condition, and we’re taking good care of them,” McHugh said. The park hopes to re-open as soon as the conditions improve.

  • Central Florida Theme Park & Attractions Re-Opening Updates

    In the last few days as Hurricane Ian approached Central Florida, all theme parks and attractions in the area announced various closures. Now that the storm has passed through Central Florida, the theme parks and attractions are starting to re-open. We have compiled a list of current re-opening plans for all theme parks and attractions , if available. Keep checking back for updates. THEME PARK & ATTRACTIONS RE-OPENING PLANS WALT DISNEY WORLD All four Walt Disney World Theme Parks WILL re-open today, Friday September 30. Park reservations are still required, and new reservations have only reopened for Resort Hotel guests. All dining reservations and Enchanted Extra prior to Early Theme Park Entry times will be cancelled, and guests with existing reservations during Early Theme Park Entry will be able to enter even if they are not a resort guest. The Magic Kingdom will open to Early Theme Park Entry from 8a.m., and be open from 10a.m. to 6p.m. for regular guests. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will take place as scheduled from 7p.m. to 12a.m. EPCOT will open to Early Theme Park Entry at 9a.m., and for all guests from 11a.m. to 9:00p.m. Guests will still be able to apply for the Virtual Queue to Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind from 7a.m. as usual. Disney’s Hollywood Studios will open at 10a.m. for Early Theme Park Entry, and from 12p.m. to 9p.m. for all guests. Disney’s Animal Kingdom will open for Early Theme Park Entry at 11a.m., and from 1p.m. to 7p.m. for general guests. Disney Springs will be open from 10:30a.m. to 11p.m. Fantasia Fairways Mini-Golf will be open from 3:30p.m. to 10p.m. Disney Transportation will also be operating as per usual across the resort. The following locations will remain CLOSED on September 30: Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park (closed for season) Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park Winter Summerland Miniature Golf UNIVERSAL ORLANDO RESORT Universal Orlando Resort have just announced that they will begin a phased reopening today, Friday September 30 to resort guests only. Universal say they are continuing to conduct assessment and recovery efforts across the entire resort and only expect to begin a phased reopening of portions of the resort for guests currently staying at the Universal Orlando Hotels. They have not as yet indicated what part of the resort will open, or if it includes any of the resorts theme parks. SEAWORLD ORLANDO SeaWorld Orlando, Aquatica Orlando, and Discovery Cove parks will all remain closed through Friday, September 30. SeaWorld is currently planning to re-open all parks on Saturday, October 1. 2022. All date-intended tickets for September, 28, 29 and 30 have been extended through December 31. Annual Pass Members’ guest tickets with an expiration date of September 30 and October 2 have been extended through October 16. Busch Gardens and SeaWorld Howl-O-Scream tickets for September 30 have been extended through October 31. BUSCH GARDENS TAMPA BAY Busch Gardens Tampa Bay will remain closed tomorrow, Friday , September 30, with the park planning to re-open Saturday, October 1. 2022. All date-intended tickets for September, 27, 28, 29 and 30 have been extended through December 31. Annual Pass Members’ guest tickets with an expiration date of September 30 and October 2 have been extended through October 16. Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream tickets for September 30 have been extended through October 31. LEGOLAND FLORIDA RESORT LEGOLAND Florida Resort has announced that both LEGOLAND Florida AND Peppa Pig Theme Park will remain closed Friday, September 30 due to Hurricane Ian. LEGOLAND Hotel and Pirate Island Hotel have both remained open to guests throughout the storm, and will continue to stay open to guests with existing reservations only. No re-opening date has yet ben announced but a Saturday October 1 re-opening seems likely. Any tickets dated for Wed, September. 28 through this Sunday, Oct. 2, will be automatically extended through December. 31, 2022. FUN SPOT AMERICA Fun Spot America has announced that both its Central Florida amusement parks will re-open tomorrow, Friday, September 30, 2022. Both the Orlando location, and the location at Old Town in Kissimmee will re-open at 10 am and be open until Midnight. WILD FLORIDA Wild Florida Airboats, Gator Park, and Drive-Thru Safari has announced that it will remain closed and will not now re-open on Friday, September 30 as previously expected. Wild Florida is scheduled to re-open Saturday, October 1. GATORLAND Gatorland on South Orange Blossom Trail is to remain closed, Friday 30 September due to extensive flooding in and around the attraction. The park hopes to re-open soon as the conditions improve. KENNEDY SPACE CENTER Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex have announced that they remain closed through Friday, September 30. The Cape Canaveral attraction will re-open on Saturday, October 1. with all attractions, exhibits, programs and the Kennedy Space Center Bus Tour opening for regular operating hours from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Those with existing reservations through September 30 will be automatically refunded within 1 billing cycle. If you have purchased Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex tickets through third-party suppliers, travel agents or tour operators you are being advised to contact them directly for information regarding their cancellation or change policies and procedures. KSC has also extended the Future Voyagers offer to Sunday, October 9, which provides complimentary admission for up to three children ages 3-11 per one adult ticket purchased.

  • Iconic Daytona Beach Shores Pier Seriously Damaged by Hurricane Ian

    Hurricane Ian has destroyed a section of the iconic Sunglow Pier in Daytona Beach Shores, with a large section of the pier washed away during the storm. It is not know if the remaining sections of the pier are structurally safe or not, including the Crabby Joe's Restaurant. The Sunglow Pier is Daytona’s other pier, smaller and newer than the Daytona Beach Pier but still a popular attraction. The pier was built in 1960 and rebuilt in the late 1980s, before this damage it used to stretch 950 feet over the waves. It is privately owned, home to Crabby Joe’s Restaurant, and still a destination for area anglers, with the section washed away being the area of the pier anglers would use. We have shared a picture here showing the section of the pier that has washed away.

When it does release, the collection will be available in Creations Shop in EPCOT.

  • Central Florida Malls, Stores & Restaurant Re-Opening Updates

    Malls, restaurants, and grocery stores across Central Florida closed on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 due to the incoming Hurricane Ian, and many stores remained closed Thursday as the storm passed through the area. Local businesses are now returning to normal, with malls, grocery stores and restaurants all re-opening. Here we are updating this page with all the latest re-opening details as we get them for the malls, stores and restaurants across Central Florida: Keep checking back for updates. DISNEY SPRINGS Disney Springs at Walt Disney World will be open from 10:30 a.m. until 11 p.m. All restaurants and stores will be operating at these times. THE FLORIDA MALL The Florida Mall has announced that the popular South Orange Blossom Trail shopping mall is to re-open Friday, September 30. from 1 pm until 9 pm. It is unknown at this time which stores will be open or closed, as individual retailers will determine if they wish to re-open tomorrow or not. ICON PARK Select restaurants at ICON Park on International Drive began re-opening last night Thursday, September 29. It is expected that most restaurants and attractions will be operating as normal today, Friday September 30, but guests are requested to reach out to individual businesses for their re-opening schedule. POINTE ORLANDO Pointe Orlando on International Drive will be open as normal today, Friday, September 30. THE MALL AT MILLENIA The Mall at Millenia will re-open on Friday, September 30 from 11am to 9pm. PREMIUM OUTLETS, VINELAND & INTERNATIONAL DRIVE Both Orlando are Premium Outlet Malls are re-opening today, Friday, September 30, although the malls have not revealed a re-opening time. PUBLIX Stores are now re-opening, Friday, September 30, and the company are urging you to check with your local store to see when they are re-opening. Customers can access a map of the nearest Publix store near you to check opening and closing times, and you can also call your local Publix store to see if they are operating under normal store hours.

  • Drawn To Life At Disney Springs Returns Friday September 30 At 8pm

    Walt Disney World has begun a phased return back to normal operations after the enforced closure of the entire resort due to the threat of Hurricane Ian. Disney Springs where the Cirque du Solei show is located will re-open tomorrow, September 30, from 10.30am until 11pm, Drawn to Life Presented by Cirque du Solei will resume performances on Friday, September 30, at 8pm, which was originally scheduled for 5.30pm.

  • Sold Out Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party Returns To Magic Kingdom Friday Sept. 30

    Walt Disney World have announced the resort wide opening hours for Friday September 30, as the post-Hurricane Ian phased re-opening begins throughout the resort. The Magic Kingdom will open to Early Theme Park Entry from 8a.m., and be open from 10a.m. to 6p.m. for regular guests. The great news is that after Hurricane Ian's scary visit to Central Florida, the already sold out Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will take place as scheduled from 7p.m. to 12a.m.
