    The City of Winter Park is inviting everyone to celebrate the 250th Birthday of America on July 3, 2026. The City of Winter Park invites you to attend the 31st Annual 4th of July Celebration on Friday, July 3, from 6 to 9 p.m., in Central Park and the West Meadow. The event is free and open to the public. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs, and wear your red, white and blue to enjoy an evening of patriotic celebration in honor of our country’s semiquincentennial. The festivities begin at 6 ppm on the main stage with opening remarks from Mayor Sheila DeCiccio along with the National Anthem. The event will continue with music from the Bach Festival Choir and Brass Ensemble led by Dr. John Sinclair. Activities will feature a Kids Zone inthe West Meadow with carnival midway games, bounce slides, face painters, Kona Ice and more. The 4th of July Festivitiess by the Parks & Recreation Department. Winter Park Electric will sponsor FREE individual mini pies and water. The annual children’s bicycle parade will begin at 6:30 pm and military veterans are invited to march behind the children this year in honor of our country’s 250th birthday. The museum, which is home to the world’s most comprehensive collection of work by American artist Louis Comfort Tiffany, will commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence with FREE admission to its galleries from Friday through Sunday, July 3 -5. The Winter Park History Museum, located at 200 W. New England Ave. (north end of the historic Farmers’ Market building), will also be open with FREE admission from 6 to 9 pm, Friday, July 3, and 10 am to 2 pm, Saturday, July 4.     Avelo Airlines is adding another nonstop route from MCO! Starting November 18, you can fly straight from Orlando to Charlotte/Concord, NC, with one-way fares starting at $49. Avelo Airlines has announced a new direct flight to Concord-Padgett Regional Airport from Orlando International Airport. Avelo is the only airline offering nonstop service between these destinations. Affordable one-way fares are available now, starting at $49. The airline will operate the route using Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft. The new route begins November 18, 2026, with service four days per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Travelers can book at AveloAir.com.
