Central Florida Theme Park & Attractions Re-Opening Updates

In the last few days as Hurricane Ian approached Central Florida, all theme parks and attractions in the area announced various closures.

Now that the storm has passed through Central Florida, the theme parks and attractions are starting to re-open.


We have compiled a list of current re-opening plans for all theme parks and attractions , if available.

THEME PARK & ATTRACTIONS RE-OPENING PLANS



WALT DISNEY WORLD

All four Walt Disney World Theme Parks WILL re-open today, Friday September 30.


Park reservations are still required, and new reservations have only reopened for Resort Hotel guests.


All dining reservations and Enchanted Extra prior to Early Theme Park Entry times will be cancelled, and guests with existing reservations during Early Theme Park Entry will be able to enter even if they are not a resort guest.


The Magic Kingdom will open to Early Theme Park Entry from 8a.m., and be open from 10a.m. to 6p.m. for regular guests. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will take place as scheduled from 7p.m. to 12a.m.


EPCOT will open to Early Theme Park Entry at 9a.m., and for all guests from 11a.m. to 9:00p.m. Guests will still be able to apply for the Virtual Queue to Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind from 7a.m. as usual.


Disney’s Hollywood Studios will open at 10a.m. for Early Theme Park Entry, and from 12p.m. to 9p.m. for all guests.


Disney’s Animal Kingdom will open for Early Theme Park Entry at 11a.m., and from 1p.m. to 7p.m. for general guests.


Disney Springs will be open from 10:30a.m. to 11p.m.


Fantasia Fairways Mini-Golf will be open from 3:30p.m. to 10p.m.


Disney Transportation will also be operating as per usual across the resort.


The following locations will remain CLOSED on September 30:


Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground

Treehouse Villas at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa

Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park (closed for season)

Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park

Winter Summerland Miniature Golf



UNIVERSAL ORLANDO RESORT

Universal Orlando Resort have just announced that they will begin a phased reopening today, Friday September 30 to resort guests only.


Universal say they are continuing to conduct assessment and recovery efforts across the entire resort and only expect to begin a phased reopening of portions of the resort for guests currently staying at the Universal Orlando Hotels.


They have not as yet indicated what part of the resort will open, or if it includes any of the resorts theme parks.



SEAWORLD ORLANDO

SeaWorld Orlando, Aquatica Orlando, and Discovery Cove parks will all remain closed through Friday, September 30.


SeaWorld is currently planning to re-open all parks on Saturday, October 1. 2022. All date-intended tickets for September, 28, 29 and 30 have been extended through December 31. Annual Pass Members’ guest tickets with an expiration date of September 30 and October 2 have been extended through October 16.


Busch Gardens and SeaWorld Howl-O-Scream tickets for September 30 have been extended through October 31.



BUSCH GARDENS TAMPA BAY

Busch Gardens Tampa Bay will remain closed tomorrow, Friday , September 30, with the park planning to re-open Saturday, October 1. 2022.


All date-intended tickets for September, 27, 28, 29 and 30 have been extended through December 31.


Annual Pass Members’ guest tickets with an expiration date of September 30 and October 2 have been extended through October 16.


Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream tickets for September 30 have been extended through October 31.



LEGOLAND FLORIDA RESORT

LEGOLAND Florida Resort has announced that both LEGOLAND Florida AND Peppa Pig Theme Park will remain closed Friday, September 30 due to Hurricane Ian.


LEGOLAND Hotel and Pirate Island Hotel have both remained open to guests throughout the storm, and will continue to stay open to guests with existing reservations only.


No re-opening date has yet ben announced but a Saturday October 1 re-opening seems likely.


Any tickets dated for Wed, September. 28 through this Sunday, Oct. 2, will be automatically extended through December. 31, 2022.



FUN SPOT AMERICA

Fun Spot America has announced that both its Central Florida amusement parks will re-open tomorrow, Friday, September 30, 2022.


Both the Orlando location, and the location at Old Town in Kissimmee will re-open at 10 am and be open until Midnight.



WILD FLORIDA

Wild Florida Airboats, Gator Park, and Drive-Thru Safari has announced that it will remain closed and will not now re-open on Friday, September 30 as previously expected.


Wild Florida is scheduled to re-open Saturday, October 1.



GATORLAND

Gatorland on South Orange Blossom Trail is to remain closed, Friday 30 September due to extensive flooding in and around the attraction.


The park hopes to re-open soon as the conditions improve.



KENNEDY SPACE CENTER

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex have announced that they remain closed through Friday, September 30.


The Cape Canaveral attraction will re-open on Saturday, October 1. with all attractions, exhibits, programs and the Kennedy Space Center Bus Tour opening for regular operating hours from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.


Those with existing reservations through September 30 will be automatically refunded within 1 billing cycle.


If you have purchased Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex tickets through third-party suppliers, travel agents or tour operators you are being advised to contact them directly for information regarding their cancellation or change policies and procedures.


KSC has also extended the Future Voyagers offer to Sunday, October 9, which provides complimentary admission for up to three children ages 3-11 per one adult ticket purchased.
