The ever popular Gatorland gator attraction on South Orange Blossom Trail is to remain closed, Friday 30 September due to extensive flooding in and around the attraction.
The good news is that the alligators, together with the other animals and birds that call Gatorland home are safe and being looked after by staff.
Gatorland CEO Mark McHugh explained on an Instagram post that the park is seeing extensive flooding near its front entrance.
“The good news is the creek stopped rising. We’ve got a bunch of water in Gatorland right now but rest assured all of our animals are safe, all of the enclosures are in great condition, and we’re taking good care of them,” McHugh said.
The park hopes to re-open as soon as the conditions improve.
