Walt Disney World and Cast Member Union set to resume contract negotiations on February 15

Last week we reported that the Service Trades Council Union (STCU), the union which represents the vast majority of Disney’s Cast Members voted by 96% to reject Disney’s proposed $1 raise.

Now both sides are set to get together on February 15 - 16, and resume negotiations, as the union push for a $3 raise to $18 per hour.

For several months, the Service Trades Council Union (STCU), which represents more than 45,000 Walt Disney World Cast Members has been in contract negotiations with Disney, over benefits and wage increases.

Last week 96% of these unionized workers rejected Disney’s proposal to raise wages by $1 a year until they reach $20 an hour.

Cast Members have instead hoped for an immediate $3 raise to $18 an hour, with a plan to then raise wages to $20 per hour.
