The Appleton Museum of Art, 4333 E. Silver Springs Blvd. will be hosting a new exhibit in honor of the 4th of July, with free admission to both the permanent galleries and the special exhibit halls for the entire month of July!


July 4

Celebrate athleticism and patriotism at the annual Greg Iggy Miller Memorial Run, a spirited four-mile race through Southeast Ocala's scenic neighborhoods, starting and ending at Veterans Memorial Park. Interested runners can sign up on the Freedom Run website's registration page.


Celebrate America 250 at Fourth In The Park Ocala

Join the City of Ocala at Tuscawilla Park for a fantastic, family-friendly daytime celebration honoring America's 250th. This free event features delicious bites from local food trucks, a dedicated kids' zone, exciting games, and patriotic giveaways. Visitors can also kick back and enjoy a great lineup of live musical performances by Cliff Dorsey and Emma Forgette.

A vibrant community parade featuring veteran groups, local businesses, and community organizations to celebrate the nation’s 250th anniversary. This finale event is a coordinated effort with the Marion County School Board, the municipalities of Ocala, Belleview, and Dunnellon, and local law enforcement. It serves as a once-in-a-lifetime moment for the community to celebrate freedom and liberty. The parade begins at Marion Technical Institute at 7 pm.

Looking to catch a spectacular fireworks display? There will be 4 synchronized firework shows in Marion County on July 4th with food trucks, vendors, music, and more beginning at 5 pm, with fireworks at 9 pm. These firework events are free and open to the public in four different locations!
