Exciting news as The Wizard of Oz Museum in Cape Canaveral has revealed that it is moving to Kissimmee, with plans for a much bigger museum than the current location on the East Coast.

The Wizard Of Oz Museum located at 7099 N Atlantic Ave, Cape Canaveral, is home to a unique collection of rare and unique artifacts that allows guests to discover the fascinating history behind one of America’s best-loved fairy tales.
The popular museum which first opened in fall 2021, is owned by Fred Trust, and offers a fascinating insight of the legacy of legendary author L. Frank Baum, and his best-selling children’s book series Oz, to the iconic MGM film starring Judy Garland, to modern pop culture sensations, such as THE WIZ and WICKED and beyond. via a collection of over 2000 memorabilia items. including many original props used in the 1939 film.

Now as Trust's collection keeps on getting bigger, and the Cape Canaveral location is set to be demolished to make way for condos, he has purchased a new and much bigger property for the museum, and its not in Cape Canaveral anymore, with the museum set to open at 4539 W. Irlo Bronson Hwy, Kissimmee, in an almost 4 acres piece of land.

There's no place like home, and the future home of the museum is across from the Medieval Times dinner show, and is under 30 minutes from Walt Disney World.
The property was previously owned by the Viking Hotel, and includes a miniature golf course, which will be brought back to life with a Wizard Of Oz theme as part of the museums ambitious plans for a much larger museum than the currenlt Cape Canaveral location.
Until the new museum opens in Kissimmee, you can follow the yellow brick road and make the journey to Cape Canaveral, which is open seven days a week from 9 am to 5 pm.
You can see thousands of pieces of memorabilia, featuring pieces from the 1850s to current times, covering all the Broadway musicals, three different Wizard of OZ movies, and others such as Return to Oz and Oz Great and Powerful.

Memorabilia on display includes 1939 movie props, original movie script, signed contracts, and signatures of all members of the MGM cast, including personal items of Judy Garland.
There is also many photo opportunity with life-size Oz characters and the option to watch a movie, plus there is also an impressive immersive room, where you can appreciate Van Gogh’s Art, fly through the Universe, and watch the custom-created scenes from the Wizard of Oz book that never made it into the movie.
