Earth Day Celebrations, Events & Activities in Orlando 2024

Earth Day's founders created and organized the very first Earth Day on April 22, 1970. Since then, Earth Day Network also known as EARTHDAY.ORG has been mobilizing over 1 billion people annually on Earth Day, and every other day, to protect the planet.

Earth Day serves as a reminder for all of us to invest our time, resources, and energy into addressing climate change and the numerous environmental challenges we all face.

This year, Earth Day falls on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. Across Central Florida, you'll find a variety of events happening throughout the month, including eco-friendly activities, vegan food festivals, neighborhood clean-ups, and more.

Plus, this month is Arbor Day, an annual observance, typically held on the last Friday in April, dedicated to planting, nurturing, and celebrating trees. I;ts purpose is to promote environmental stewardship, combat climate change, and enhance community well-being. Activities include tree planting, educational events, and tree care education.

There are multiple events celebrating Arbor Day, with tree giveaways throughout Central Florida, with many events combining Arbor Day and Earth Day.

Use this opportunity to connect with others who share your passion for a greener future, find inspiration to make positive changes in your own life, and contribute to a healthier planet.

With numerous events occurring across Central Florida, we have compiled all the Earth Day 2026 celebrations here. As more events are announced, we will add them to the list, so check back frequently.
