Lift Off For Holidays In Space At Kennedy Space Center With All New Light Show For 2022

The holidays are getting ready to rocket into Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, as the Cape Canaveral attraction gets ready for this year's Holidays in Space


From Friday, December 16 through Wednesday, December 30. (excluding Christmas Day, December 25) the entire family can blast off on a thrilling space adventures with lots of holiday festivities all wrapped into one!


Plus, this year's Holidays in Space features brand-new entertainment including an out-of-this-world nighttime projection mapping show, and all-new décor.


Kennedy Space Center Holiday In Space

The exciting new projection mapping show, called Starflake’s Holiday Voyage, will visually showcase sights such as the International Space Station and the James Webb Space Telescope, among other space-themed items.


The show will be six minutes long and projected nightly onto Gateway: The Deep Space Launch Complex.


This year visitors will encounter entertainment including a singing duo, and a comedy act roaming throughout the visitor attraction.

Prior to the official December 16 launch of Holidays in Space, Kennedy Space Center will debut its beautiful holiday decorations, beginning November 25.


New for this year, is a stunning 50-foot tree with over 61,000 pixels of light, plus of course the fan favourite NASA ornament bauble!

Only a short drive from Orlando in your space buggy, a day at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex will leave you feeling out of this world!


Holidays in Space gives guests and future space explorers the perfect mix of education, fun, and holiday cheer.


Before you arrive at the front gate, you can spot the NASA meatball-turned-holiday ornament, then as you make your way through the entrance, guests will be greeted by all-new festive holiday décor that has taken over the entire visitor complex.


From The Rocket Garden to Gateway: The Deep Space Launch Complex to the Apollo/ Saturn V Center, guests won’t want to miss anything during their visit to Holidays in Space.


As you make your way through the visitor complex, guests can stop by LEGO: Build to Launch, located inside of IMAX, for a hands-on experience or visit Planet Play for a fun time for the entire family.

Guests can also experience the newest attraction at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, Gateway: The Deep Space Launch Complex.


With a focus on the present and future of collaborative space exploration, guests can experience the interstellar travel of tomorrow while celebrating everything happening right now within the space program.


Gateway features a showcase of NASA and commercial spacecraft hardware with immersive displays, the spaceport of the future, Spaceport KSC, and an all-new restaurant, Space Bowl Bistro.


Upon entering Gateway, “space travelers” are greeted with a futuristic design setting the stage for their journey. Visitors are surrounded by flight-flown artifacts and full-scale models, placed around the floor and suspended from above to allow 360-degree viewing and interaction.

The festivities of Holidays in Space are included with Visitor Center admission, which start at $75 for adults and $65 for children ages three-11. Kennedy Space Center is closed Dec. 25.
