Winter Park wants YOU to name its beautiful new park!

At the heat of a new development called Progress Point, an ambitious $3.1 million urban park in the City of Winter Park is currently under construction.

The 3.5-acre Progress Point property located at the corner of Denning Drive and Orange Avenue, includes space for retail and restaurants, a brewery, parking garage, pedestrian pathways and an auto pick-up/drop-off area.

The centrepiece of the development will be a 1.5 acre public park wit lush landscaping, wide pedestrian pathways, formal lawns, water fountains, outdoor events space, and more.

City of Winter Park staff have already started planting seven large live oak trees on the property which will surround the beautiful new park, which will when completed provide ample shade for the community as they take a break from the hustle and bustle of working, shopping and dining in Winter Park.

Completion of the new park is expected in early 2024, and right now, the City of Winter Park is asking residents to help it name this new public space!

Now through Wednesday, March 8, city residents and businesses may access the Vote for New Park Name webpage to submit a vote.

The name with the most votes will be considered by the PRAB for recommendation to the city council at a later meeting.
