Five Guys coming to Universal CityWalk Orlando together with the return of Universal Legacy Store

Several changes are coming to Universal CityWalk Orlando, including the closure of the Epic Universe Preview Center and the return of the Universal Legacy Store.

Universal Orlando Resort has announced big changes coming to Universal CityWalk, including the return of the Universal Legacy Store and the closure of the Burger King Whopper Bar.

The Universal Legacy Store is making a surprise return after being permanently closed in 2024 to make way for the Epic Universe Preview Center, which is now in turn closing to make way for the return of the Universal Legacy Store.

The Epic Universe Preview Center will close on April 13, with the Universal Legacy Store scheduled to open in late April.

The Universal Legacy Store will featuring retro merchandise and photo ops inspired by Universal classic including E.T., Jaws, Back to the Future, and Universal Monsters.

Another change coming to Universal CityWalk is the permanent closure of the Burger King Whopper Bar. This fast food location will close on April 21 to make way for a Five Guys location.

In addition to the changes coming to Universal CityWalk that have been announced today, Luke Combs recently announced plans to bring Category 10 to CityWalk.

The Orlando venue, targeted to open in late 2027, is the third location for the Category 10 brand, joining the flagship Category 10 in Nashville, Tennessee (opened in 2024) and a recently announced Las Vegas location (debuting fall 2026). 

Opry Entertainment Group also owns and operates Blake Shelton’s Ole Red, a restaurant, bar and live music venue located at the nearby ICON Park on International Park, Orlando.
