Visit Treasure Island & See OutSANDing Sand Sculptures At The Sanding Ovations Master's Cup

All it takes is a pile of sand, some buckets of water and lots of imagination to build a masterpiece, and at Sanding Ovations, master sand sculptors from around the world come to Treasure Island on Florida's west coast to create sand masterpieces for everyone to enjoy.

From November 17 through 20, 2022, and November 26 & 27, 2022, ten master sculptors from throughout North America, Europe and Asia will return to Treasure Island for the 13th Annual Sanding Ovations Master's Cup Competition, where this year's theme is "Once Upon a Time".

See what happens when the sculptors use their imaginations and turn sand and water into “outSANDing” works of art.

Take a two hour road trip from Orlando to Treasure Island, the sand sculpture capital of Florida, and see the beautiful Treasure Island beach come to life.

Watch in wonder at the master sculptures creating sand sculptures before you eyes, enjoy live music, food, a craft market, a children's area featuring sand-sculpting lessons, and best of all this amazing event is totally free.

This year’s “Once Upon a Time” wonderland will be created through the imaginations of sculptors Sue McGrew, Deborah Barrett-Cutulle, Melineige Beauregard, Benoit Dutherage, Fergus Mulvany, Damon Meri, Abe Waterman and Bruce Phillips.

There is plenty of room to spread out at the beach food court, beer garden and arts and crafts marketplace. Kites and night fly’s will be provided by Windworks of Maderia Beach.

With fireworks lighting up the night sky on Saturday, and local, regional, and national touring bands making waves throughout the event, “Once Upon a Time” is a must-see experience in beautiful Treasure Island.
