Orlando is an amazing place to celebrate Halloween, and not just because the weather is so good around these parts in October!


Orlando has so many Halloween events, and yes many are aimed at the big kids, but we have so many wonderful family friends events especially for the kids too.


Here at Gotta Go Orlando we love spooky season, and we've put together a comprehensive list of all the family friendly events throughout Central Florida to enjoy this October, and by spooky coincidence the list tops out at 13!

Orlando Family Friendly Halloween Events



SeaWorld Halloween Spooktacular

Weekends, Now through October 31

SeaWorld Orlando


SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular is back with fun surprises, candy, costumes and more!


Kids love trick-or-treating during this daytime event as they explore our decorated trail and meet colorful characters.


Kids will love collecting ghoulish goodies as they explore SeaWorld Orlando’s fun-filled trick-or-treating trail while meeting colorful characters including a Halloween mermaid along the way, plus the kids are encouraged to dress up in costumes.


Don’t miss the Scarecrow Dance Party, Halloween Cookie Decorating, the Sesame Street Halloween Parade, Halloween Storytime with Big Bird and so much more!


Wander through the Pumpkin Garden to look for friendly pumpkin fish. Curious adventurers may even run into the Pumpkin Queen as she reads stories in the garden.


Guests can purchase a scavenger hunt map and follow the clues to win amazing prizes also.


SeaWorld's Halloween Spooktacular is included with regular park admission.



 

LEGOLAND Florida Brick-or-Treat

Now through October 30

Legoland Florida, Winter Haven


Families will be screaming in excitement at LEGOLAND Florida Brick-or-Treat this year.


The kids will enjoy more candy, more LEGO characters and more spell-binding surprises than ever before with 12 nights of Halloween fun – each Saturday and Sunday throughout October.


This Halloween spectacular will bewitch families with so many amazing NEW experiences including V.I.M. Dance Party Hosted by Lord Vampyre, the new show The UnbeLEAFable Halloween Night and NEW 4D Movie: The Great Monster Chase.


Enjoy live shows, costume contests, meet and greets, spooky LEGO decorations and Monster mischief around every corner – all included with general park admission and select Annual Passes.



 

Screamin’ Green Halloween

Now through October 31

Crayola Experience, Florida Mall


Get ready for spooky fun as the Crayola Experience at The Florida Mall is “chalk”-full of spooky happenings included with admission, such as a themed scavenger hunt, spook-tastic crafts, character photo ops, trick-or-treating on the weekends and more.ALL included with admission.


Plus every weekend they are hosting a DJ dance party from 12 p.m. - 4 p.m.



 

Gators, Ghosts and Goblins

Daily until October 30, 2022

Gatorland


Gatorland on OBT are hosting their annual Gators, Ghosts and Goblins Halloween event.


Highlights of this unique Halloween experience include haunt zones, Swamp Ghost’s Monster Museum, Skunk Ape’s Cryptid Kingdom and their newest haunt zone: “Invasion of the Bubba Snatchers!”


Then, grab your Lederhosen for Frank & Steins Ooky Kooky Octoberfest featuring live music from “Polkageist,” Gatorland’s own undead polka band.


All this plus multiple themed areas, interactive characters, animal meet-and-greets, and a Children’s Halloween Costume Parade with treat bags for all kids who participate!


The Halloween event is free with park admission.



 

Gaylord Palms Goblins & Giggles Weekends

Daily Until October 30, 2022

Gaylord Palms, 6000 W Osceola Pkwy, Kissimmee

This year's Goblins and Giggles Weekends at Gaylord Palms is bigger than ever and features 13 themed events that guests will have the opportunity to participate in, including an Escape Room, a Monster Mash Bash, Jack-o'-Lantern Walk, Monster Dance Parties, Ghoul School: Interactive Shows, Character Interactions and more.

Couples won't want to miss the Spookeasy bar experience, a haunted hideaway straight out of the prohibition era featuring spine-chilling craft cocktails and a spooky atmosphere.

Plus you won't want to miss the nightly 9pm Halloween light show in the atrium!



 

Huge Halloween At Fun Spot America

Get your scare on at Fun Spot’s HUGE Halloween 2022!

Running daily until Monday, October 31, 2022, Fun Spot is bringing it's family-friendly Halloween event back to both its Orlando and Kissimmee locations

So bring friends or the whole family to enjoy some wicked decor, ghoulishly-good treats, themed Foto Spots, and more!



 

Halloween At Old Town Kissimmee


October 31, 2022

Spend Halloween at Old Town and enjoy trick-or-treating from 5 – 7 p.m. with candy stations on every block and at select merchants, followed by a costume content on the main stage at 7 p.m.

The popular Mortem Manor Haunted House will also open early.

Old Town is in Kissimmee minutes from Walt Disney World.



 

Vampirates

Now through October 29

Pirate’s Dinner Adventure, Orlando


On select nights through Oct. 29, Pirates Dinner Adventure will host Vampirates, a Halloween-themed dinner show that’s guaranteed to provide spooky fun for the whole family.



 

Franklin’s Friends Howl-O-Ween Dog Walkathon

Saturday, October 22, 9 a.m.–12 p.m.

Crane’s Roost Park, Altamonte Springs


Throw a costume on your fur baby and take them out on the town for the ninth annual Howl-O-Ween dog walkathon and canine costume.


Your pooch will love this leisurely dog walk, doggie costume contest, raffles, vendors, adoptable pets and more!



 

Zoo Boo Bash

October 29-20, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Central Florida Zoo, Sanford


This is the wildest Halloween event in town! Zoo Boo Bash provides zoo-goers with a fun, safe and not-so-scary Halloween experience. This family-friendly event will feature treat stations and several fun activities.


The entire family is invited to wear their costumes to show them off.


Event included in Zoo admission; annual pass holders $5 per person.



 

Trick or Treat Safe Zone

Saturday, October 29, 10 a.m.–3 p.m.

Orange County Regional History Center & Orlando Public Library


Trick or treat throughout the History Center and the Orlando Public Library and enjoy creepy crafts, candy and a scavenger hunt!


Free for families with children ages 12 and under; children must be accompanied by an adult.



 

The Good Ghoul Gala

Saturday, October 29, 11 a.m.–3 p.m.

Rosen Event Center, S Apopka Vineland Rd, Orlando


The event is run by Miles To Go and hosted by the Rosen JCC at the Rosen Event Center.


The Good Ghoul Gala is a family-friendly, Halloween-themed event with something for all ages!


Guests can expect a spooky family fashion show, Grammy-nominated DJ ‘Fatum’, Halloween costume contest, trick-or-treating, live entertainment and roaming characters, photo booth, games, shopping, raffle, silent auction, food trucks, and more!


Proceeds from this event directly support your favorite non-profits – Miles to Go and The Rosen JCC.




 

Spooknona Graveyard Smash

Saturday, October 29, 5-10 p.m.

Lake Nona Town Center


Tricks, treats and festive beats!


Grab your creepiest costume and enjoy a night of ghoulish good times at Lake Nona’s annual Spooknona Graveyard Smash.


Monsters and mummies of all ages are welcome to trick-or-treat around Lake Nona Town Center. If candy is not your sweet of choice, take your pick from a menu of hauntingly good Halloween treats, like candy corn cupcakes, chocolate mummy cookies and Halloween ice-cream sundaes, sure to satisfy any sweet tooth.


After you’ve visited each of the interactive trick-or-treat stops, dance the night away with DJ KD Queen or take your costume to the next level with the help of face painters and airbrush tattoo artist.
