SheiKra At Busch Gardens Tampa Closing For Refurbishment On November 14

If you love SheiKra as much as we do, then plan on heading to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay to enjoy a few adrenaline filled rides soon as the ever popular dive coaster will be closing soon for refurbishment on November 14.

At this time, there’s no reopening date for the much loved coaster, hopefully it's just a short down time, but you never know!

SheiKra is a steel dive coaster designed by Bolliger & Mabillard. With a height of 200 feet, SheiKra reaches a maximum speed of 70 miles per hour, and has a total track length of 3,188 feet.

The popular ride first opened on May 21, 2005, and was converted to a floorless roller coaster on June 16, 2007, following the opening of its sister Dive Coaster Griffon at Busch Gardens Williamsburg that year.

SheiKra was the first Dive Coaster to be constructed in North America; its track includes a splashdown and an Immelmann loop, both a first for its kind, and at the time broke the records for the world's longest, tallest, and fastest Dive Coaster.
