New Vinyl Listening Bar Concept coming soon to Downtown Orlando

Orlando based V Group Concepts, the name behind many of Orlando's well known hospitality venues including SideBar, Room 22, Vyce, BauHaus, Hanson’s Shoe Repair, and Novelty are planning to introduce an exciting new bar concept to Central Florida.

The new venture, Proper will be located within a 2,000-square-foot space at 112 S. Orange Avenue in downtown Orlando.

V Group Concepts have revealed that the new concept is a vinyl listening bar that will incorporate a state-of-the-art sound system.

The V Group's Dave Green, told the Orlando Business Journal that the concept is targeting a soft launch as early as late March and a full opening in early April.

Hi-Fi and listening bars originated in Tokyo, and now as the popularity of the concept catches on, new audiophile driven cafe and bar are opening around the world.

Taking inspiration from Japan’s record bars, music and audio enthusiasts around the globe have been building unique spaces, creating environments that appeal to fanatics and casual listeners alike.

They vary in size from intimate pocket-sized venues to venues incorporating dance floors to incorporate the club experience.

Here in Florida, Miami’s first record listening bar opened in 2021, and when you step into Dantes Hi-Fi, you'll discover a room lined with vinyls neatly arranged on the shelves behind the bar.

The intimate bar and lounge is home to thousands records from just about every genre.
