Incredible Onboard Video From U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds Magic Kingdom Flyover

Yesterday, October 27, 2022, we told you how crowds gathered here in Orlando, on Main Street U.S.A. looking up to the sky as they waited for the arrival of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds.

The display team arrived at a touch after 9.30am, announcing their arrival in spectacular style, with a loud roar as The Thunderbirds flew in formation over Cinderella's Castle in the Magic Kingdom.

Walt Disney World Disney and the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds aerial demonstration team have now released video of the awe inspiring flyover!

The breathtaking display by six F-16 Fighting Falcons made two passes over the park that culminated with the display team performing their famous delta maneuver over the castle.

The F-16's accelerating rapidly over the spires of the castle breaking off in different directions giving the appearance of a fireworks display over Cinderella's castle.

The flyover was in recognition of Disney’s enduring respect for those who serve in the military and their families, marking the arrival of National Veterans and Military Families Month in November.

The flyover was particularly special this time around because the pilot flying the #4 jet, U.S. Air Force Maj. Zane Taylor, is the son of a retired Disney executive and grew up around Walt Disney World.

He often dreamed of flying over Magic Kingdom in his F-16 Fighting Falcon. He was excited to make that dream a reality during his second to last away show of the season before he moves on to his next assignment in the Air Force.

“I spent my childhood watching the amazing live shows at Walt Disney World with my family,” said Taylor. “Who knew that exposure would serve me so well when I was tasked with building the new Thunderbird show in 2020.”

The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds took time to meet Mickey Mouse, Melissa Valiquette, Vice President, Magic Kingdom Park and Walt Disney World Ambassador, Raevon Redding in front of Cinderella Castle.
