This morning, October 27, 2022, crowds gathered here in Orlando, on Main Street U.S.A. looking up to the sky as they waited for the arrival of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds.
The display team arrived at a touch after 9.35am, announcing their arrival in spectacular style, with a loud roar as The Thunderbirds flew in formation over Cinderella's Castle in the Magic Kingdom.
The breathtaking display by six F-16 Fighting Falcons made two passes over the park that culminated with the display team performing their famous delta maneuver over the castle.
The F-16's accelerating rapidly over the spires of the castle breaking off in different directions giving the appearance of a fireworks display over Cinderella's castle.
The flyover was in recognition of Disney’s enduring respect for those who serve in the military and their families, marking the arrival of National Veterans and Military Families Month in November.
The U.S. Air Force Air Demonstration Squadron, the Thunderbirds, performs precision aerial maneuvers demonstrating the capabilities of Air Force high performance aircraft to people throughout the world.
The Thunderbirds are assigned to the 57th Wing, and are based at Nellis Air Force Base, Nevada.
Each November, the military community observes National Veterans and Military Families Month to celebrate how special military families are and recognize all the ways they support their service members
The Thunderbirds were last at Walt Disney World back in October 2020, as part of a tribute video to honor fallen military heroes and to mark the arrival of National Veterans and Military Families Month in November.
