Experience A Haunted Ghost Tour In Historic Downtown Sanford

If anything screams Halloween, it’s a spooky ghost tour, and especially a night time ghost tour through the haunted history of Downtown Sanford.

When you embark on a Sanford Ghost Tour, an expert guide with a certain sixth sense will lead you on a 90-minute excursion into the supernatural as they let you in on unearthed secrets of ghostly encounters with former residents of Sanford.

While this isn’t ghost hunting, you will get to see the sights and venture, if you dare, to a historic building that is rumored to be haunted by lingering spirits.

Ghost tours with your ghost host take off at 7 p.m. every Friday and Saturday, with a maximum group size of 12.

Tickets start at $20 and all ages are encouraged to join in on the spooktacular night walk.

During your Sanford Ghost Tour, prepare to be regaled with tales of old and new concerning ghostly experiences in the downtown area, culminating with a walk to an actual haunted building!

This 90-minute tour led by an expert guide allows you to learn historical stories gathered from the people who live in Sanford themselves. Incorporated in 1877, the stories of Sanford’s past residents and those still lurking around are plentiful.

Sanford Ghost Tours was started in 2011 by Gary Holmes as he uncovered several stories from the local residents of ghostly encounters.

These stories were not only fun but painted a picture of some of our previous residences. He quickly learned all he could about the previous residence and the many hauntings in the historic downtown buildings. And now, you too can enjoy some history and hauntings here in the Historic Downtown Sanford area.
