Disney World Now Allowing Same-Day Cancelation Of Dining Reservations Via My Disney Experience App

In a piece of great news for Walt Disney World guests, it appears that guests can now make same-day cancelations of dining reservations as long as they cancel more than 2 hours prior to their reservation time.

Guests can now cancel their Walt Disney World dining reservations up to two hours before the reservation time in the My Disney Experience app.

Previously, guests who wanted to make a same-day cancelation of a dining reservation, they had to contact Disney, pay a no-show fee of $10 per person, or change the reservation to a day in the future and then cancel it.

Now, guests who cancel more than 2 hours before the dining reservation can do so within the My Disney Experience app without the need to contact Disney or paying the no-show fee of $10 each per person!

As we write this the Walt Disney World dining policy has not changed, and states that guests still must cancel at least one day before the reservation or pay a cancellation fee, but hopefully this will change soon.

This is the policy wording:

You must cancel at least one day prior to your reservation to avoid a per person cancellation fee. If you fail to cancel timely and are a no show, the credit card provided at the time of reservation will be charged $10.00 per person
