Guests visiting Walt Disney World next weekend should be aware that Disney's Blizzard Beach will remain closed on January 8 for one day only.
Walt Disney World has announced that Blizzard Beach Water Park will be closed all day on Sunday, January 8, 2023 as the roads around the water park will be used for the runDisney Walt Disney World Marathon on that day.
The water park is between mile 20 and mile 22 on the 26.2-mile marathon course, and as access would be severely hampered, the resort have decided to keep the water park closed for the day.
It is only on the Sunday that the water park will be closed, all other race days during the runDisney Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend will not affect the operations of the water park, and will be open as usual on all other days.
