Daytona Lagoon Forced To Remain Closed Due To Hurricane Ian Damage

Updated: Nov 27, 2022

Popular Daytona Beach attraction Daytona Lagoon Water Park & Fun Park has sadly had to close its doors temporarily due to damage caused by Hurricane Ian.

As Hurricane Ian caused havoc on its journey across Florida, the Daytona area suffered badly from flooding.

Daytona Lagoon which was recently named Daytona Beach Visitors Choice Winner for Best Family Entertainment 2022, suffered both wind and flooding damage from the storm.

The park which was only remodelled at the start of this year, now has to carry out repairs, with the park admitting that it does not expect to re-open until Thanksgiving Weekend.

In a statement released Wednesday on its website, park management announced the temporary closure of both its Water Park and Fun Park.

Attention Daytona Lagoon Customers, Due to the damages sustained during Hurricane Ian, Daytona Lagoon will be temporarily closed for repairs. We strive to be the best place for family fun and in order to provide that to our customers, we find it necessary to remain closed while these repairs take place. Although we are saddened that we will be unable to open for some time, we are fortunate to have our safety and are thinking about others in our community who were greatly affected by this storm. Currently, we expect to reopen by Thanksgiving week but will be releasing updates as we receive additional information. From the management at Daytona Lagoon, we apologize for the inconvenience and can't wait to be a place for families to gather for fun times again very soon. We will be extending Fall Fun Park Passes and will provide more details in the weeks to come. Thank you to all of our customers, Daytona Lagoon Management
