If rumours are to be believed, nobody will be getting their feet wet on Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls for many months to come!
The popular water ride at Universal's Islands of Adventure has remained closed since the beginning of October when Universal Orlando Resort was forced into shutting down due to the incoming Hurricane Ian.
After the storm passed and Universal began re-opening, Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls remained shuttered, reportedly due to damage sustained in the storm.
It was reported at the time that Universal management had decided that in addition to fixing the storm damage, they would keep the ride closed and bring forward the rides regular winter maintenance.
However, according to Screamscape the ride may be closed for longer than anticipated, as there is reports that Dudley Do-Right's Ripsaw Falls had been experiencing frequent down time due to an ongoing technical issue prior to the storm, meaning the usual winter refurbishment was going to be longer than normal anyway.
Then on top of that, the damage which was sustained by Hurricane Ian has resulted in an ever longer period of extended closure expected.
As expected, Universal have not officially said anything, and we don't expect then to, but the ride could be down for several months. Only time will tell.
