The Reunion Resort, which is located in Kissimmee near Walt Disney World, has confirmed ambitious $1 BILLION expansion plans.

The resort which was purchased by Kingwood International Resorts, an Atlanta resort operator, back in 2019, has been planning the expansion for some time, and has now secured financing to allow for the project to begin.

Financing was arranged with LV Lending, a local private lender focused on bridge loans for commercial and residential investment properties and developments.

Currently, Reunion Resort features thousands of luxury homes, villas and condominiums; three championship golf courses; seven food-and-beverage outlets; waterparks; 11 pools; a rooftop pool and private club faculty; and conference areas.

The expansion will feature a brand new hotel 1,800 vacation rental homes and townhomes, together with an amphitheater for events, all surrounding a 10-acre Crystal Lagoon

The $1 billion expansion will take place over five phases and several years, with groundbreaking currently scheduled to begin in 2024 with the addition of 1,800 rental units.

Some of the new construction will be built over parts of some of the existing golf courses at the resort, which will involve undisclosed courses being redesigned to accommodate the construction.

The expansion will have six separate condo-hotel buildings that will be constructed with architecture from different parts of the world, with the interior designs will showcase those regions.

There will be suites with one or two buildings in those condos. Plus, the new vacation rental units will have balconies facing the lagoon and amphitheater. New nightly light shows and entertainment will occur at the amphitheater, so those staying in these units will have a spectacular view of the action.

The property is ideally located in the heart of Orlando’s thriving tourism zone. Situated within eight minutes of Walt Disney World and 30 minutes from Orlando International Airport.
