- Disney sets the record straight on value of Walt Disney World and Reedy Creek to Florida
As Florida Governor Ron DeSantis continues to belittle Walt Disney World and the contribution the resort makes to the success of the state, Disney have provided facts and figures via a new website which informs Floridians exactly how much Disney and Reedy Creek Improvement District have "made a world of difference" to the state. Against a backdrop of misinformation from DeSantis, the website sets the record straight on the exact purpose of the special district, and via a page on the website, Disney provides a history of Reedy Creek Improvement District and its impact on Florida and the Walt Disney World Resort. The page explains why the district was created, how taxes are paid, and how it helped drive economic prosperity in Florida, click here to check it out! The website also informs Floridians of just how much Disney contribute to Florida as part of the local community, and successfully shows the true vale of Walt Disney World to the state. The website shows how the company and its cast members have invested in nonprofit organizations through volunteering and by making significant financial and non-financial contributions to causes that address basic needs in our communities.
