- Pocohontas ‘Colors of the Wind’ Beacon of Magic Debuts At EPCOT
Spaceship Earth has lit up as a ”beacon of magic” since the Walt Disney World 50th anniversary celebration began last October. Now, the Epcot icon will be lighting up with a new sequence throughout the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival! This new sequence will be set to the song ”Colors of the Wind” from Pocahontas. The song was chosen for its message of intrinsic value and respect for beauty and nature and living things. Walt Disney Imagineer Zach Riddley shared more about this new sequence on Instagram. “Since October and the launch of the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary celebration, Spaceship Earth has come alive as a “beacon of magic” each evening with new lighting, music and emotion that is unique to this park. As new festivals open, Imagineers have had fun creating new limited time sequences that tie to the spirit of each festival and the spirit of EPCOT in stunning and poetic moments never before possible on this grand icon.I am excited to announce that tonight we are premiering another of these new sequences to kick off the launch of EPCOT International Flower and Garden Festival! Our Imagineering team set this stunning new sequence to the Academy-Award winning song “Colors of the Wind” from the 1995 Walt Disney Animation Studios film “Pocahontas”. The orchestral variation of this song was chosen for its message of intrinsic value and respect for beauty of nature and living things – with new visual flourishes that evoke the musical scene from the film with techniques entirely original for Spaceship Earth. Keep a look out for a few homages for fans who know the film and the song well. We also have – for the first time – Spaceship Earth will glimmer in vibrant greens, earth tones and pastels to celebrate the rejuvenation of spring. Thank you to our Imagineering team and partners across @waltdisneyworld who are helping make this most beautiful and vibrant season at EPCOT bloom.”

- New Sweet Treats At Hollywood Studios
For those of us with a sweet tooth, the latest Sweet Treats from Walt Disney World look absolutely delicious. Starting March 2, 2022, you can celebrate the fresh flavors of spring with a variety of yummy treats at various location throughout Disney’s Hollywood Studios. First off, let’s take a little trip over to Sunset Boulevard where multiple locations are serving up sweets. At Hollywood Scoops, the Orange Blossom Shake has everything you need to stay cool and, most importantly, satisfied. This orange and cream milkshake is absolutely beautiful (and tasty), topped with whipped cream and an orange-scented donut – how can you resist? If you’re interested in a treat that’s inspired by a tale as old as time, the Beauty and the Beast Rose at Catalina Eddie’s will make you feel the love … or maybe that’s just your sweet tooth calling? This dessert is as beautiful as it is tasty – take a look for yourself! This dark chocolate mousse with a taste of black currant and Morello cherry sits atop a chocolate shortbread cookie, whipped cookies, and cream fluff, and is gorgeously topped with gilded chocolate-covered cocoa nibs. At Rosie’s All-American Café, the S’mores Cupcake will light up your appetite. What could be better than chocolate and marshmallows on a cupcake? This fudge-filled chocolate cupcake, and yes, I did say fudge-filled, is topped with graham cracker buttercream, toasted marshmallows, and even a mini chocolate bar. If you’re looking for a twist on a classic Mickey apple, The Trolley Car Café has got you covered. Here you’ll find the Chocolate-covered Apple, a dark chocolate and peanut butter crunch dipped Granny Smith apple with marshmallow ears. Not only is it absolutely adorable and a Disney treat staple, but it’s delicious too! Sounds like a win-win to me. Next up, we have the ABC Commissary. This spot brought its best for this roundup because they have not one but two delicious desserts – one minty and one tropical-tasting! First up, we have the Mint Chocolate Chip Cheesecake. Enjoy this chocolate cheesecake topped with dark chocolate ganache and whipped mint chocolate chip cream. Few things go together quite as well as mint and chocolate, and when you throw in the fact that this is a cheesecake, it’s a must-try treat. Also being served up at ABC Commissary is the Tropical Tart. This lovely dessert is a mango passionfruit curd-filled graham cracker tart topped with whipped raspberry vanilla bean panna cotta, toasted coconut, and dehydrated strawberry and passionfruit. With all these fresh, fruity flavors, this treat is a spring staple! If you ever wondered what strawberries, cheesecake, and cannoli tasted like together, well you’re in for a treat. PizzeRizzo is joining in on the spring fun with the Strawberry Cheesecake Cannoli. This white chocolate and rainbow sprinkled dipped cannoli shell filled with whipped strawberry cheesecake is a must-try. Just look at how pretty it is! And last but certainly not least, we venture over to where the toys hang out to find our final treat. If you stop into Woody’s Lunch Box, you’ll find the newest addition to their sweet selections – the Banana Fudge Lunch Box Tart. This peanut butter and chocolate fudge stuffed pastry is coated with banana fondant, banana chips, and rainbow sprinkles. I don’t know about you, but I think bananas and fudge are a great combo and I can guarantee I will be heading over for repeat tastings of this tart. And there you have it – the Sweet Treats of spring at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Let your sweet tooth adventures begin!

- The EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival Starts Soon!
We are so excited as one of our favorite festivals is only days away! Spring is in the air as the horticulture team at Walt Disney World is busy producing topiaries, hanging baskets, flower towers and more in preparation for the 2022 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival. This popular and fragrant festival springs to life March 2 and runs through July 4. That’s 125 days to enjoy fresh cuisine, colorful gardens, playful topiaries and vibrant entertainment. Since the festival is taking place during the Walt Disney World Resort 50th Anniversary celebration, a new main entrance topiary display will feature Goofy and a 50th-themed birthday cake. Other favorite Disney Character topiaries will include Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at the Germany pavilion or Lumiere and Cogsworth welcoming you to the recently expanded France pavilion. Gardeners will marvel at thousands of blooms forming colorful, living panoramas all around EPCOT, and the entire family can experience the Health Full Trail presented by AdventHealth along the Imagination walkway to learn tips for staying well. Fresh flavors are on the menu at the festival’s 18 Outdoor Kitchens as well as other food and beverage locations around EPCOT, offering a fresh selection of springtime fruits, vegetables, desserts and more. The popular Garden Rocks Concert Series will return in 2022, featuring favorite tunes at the America Gardens Theatre. You’ll also find blooming keepsakes including vibrant apparel, drinkware, accessories and more with new merchandise collections launching just in time for the event. To experience the EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, you must have both valid admission and a park reservation for EPCOT on the same date. See you there!
