Walt Disney World Announce The Re-Opening Date For Akershus Royal Banquet Hall at EPCOT

As we predicted yesterday, Akershus Royal Banquet Hall is officially re-opening at EPCOT.

Walt Disney World have announced that Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in the Norway pavilion in World Showcase will reopen on November 4.

Reservations can be made starting October 24.

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall has been closed since March 2020 due to the COVID Pandemic, the restaurant has not re-opened due to the fact that staffing throughout World Showcase at EPCOT had been problematic for Walt Disney World management without Cast Members from the Cultural Representative Program to staff them.

As the Cultural Representative Program resumed in August, and as Cultural Representatives return to World Showcase, thankfully we now see a return of Akershus Royal Banquet Hall.

Walt Disney World has recently made changes to the online menus for Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, including changes to the pricing, and food and drink options as Walt Disney World prepared the restaurant for the re-opening.

Akershus serves Storybook Dining featuring the Disney Princesses.

The meal is family-style with traditional Norwegian dishes, including Traditional KjØttkaker featuring Norwegian meatballs and the Kylling og Melboller, a Norwegian take on chicken and dumplings.

They also serve American fare such as mashed potatoes and gravy, grilled salmon, and kids favorite macaroni & cheese.

Only lunch and dinner will be on offer, with no breakfast service.
