Poseidon’s Fury at Universal's Islands Of Adventure set to close for Refurbishment

Poseidon’s Fury at Universal’s Islands of Adventure will close for refurbishment next month.

Universal Orlando Resort has announced that the walk through attraction Poseidon’s Fury at Islands of Adventure will be closed for a short refurbishment from February 2 through February 10, 2023.

Thankfully this is only a short refurbishment, and not like the near two year refurbishment that only ended last year when the attraction reopened in March 2022.

On the attraction you follow an archeologist guide and venture through the ruins of the ancient Temple of Poseidon, Greek god of the sea. But once you've journeyed far beneath the ocean, you're caught in a colossal battle between Poseidon and the evil Lord Darkennon.

Fireballs burst, lasers flash, and water erupts around you in this spectacular special effects experience.

This live show uses four types of lasers and over 200 individual flame effects.

Water effects used in the show include mist screens, cannons, and mortars.
