The play dramatizes the experiences of Blanche DuBois, a former Southern belle who, after encountering a series of personal losses, leaves her once-prosperous situation to move into a shabby apartment in New Orleans rented by her younger sister and brother-in-law.

Williams' most popular work, A Streetcar Named Desire is one of the most critically acclaimed plays of the twentieth century, and now here in Orlando you have the opportunity to experience this wonderful play transformed by dance in a beautiful interpretation of A Streetcar Named Desire by Orlando Ballet.

Performances will take place at Dr Phillips Center For The Performing Arts, on the stage of Steinmetz Hall, from April 27 – 30, 2023.

Tickets starting at $29 are on sale now, with VIP Box Packages also available, scroll down for details.

An emotional tour de force, this steamy ballet delves deep into the delicate mental state of Blanche Dubois, one of Tennessee Williams’ most enduring characters.

Williams’ 1948 Pulitzer Prize-winning drama remains as shocking and relevant today, especially in this production originally conceived by choreographer Annabelle Lopez Ochoa and theater and film director Nancy Meckler.

This visually stunning ballet is a provocative and mesmerizing exploration of truth, lies, memory, and desire.
