Reporters were briefed this morning, Monday, February 27 that Governor Ron DeSantis would be at Reedy Creek Fire Station this morning.
This press briefing and photo opportunity within Walt Disney World property will be a very public display to show that Gov Desantis is now in charge, as he is expected to sign the takeover legislation into law that will signal the demise of the Reedy Creek Improvement District.
Effectively this is Gov DeSantis showing himself taking state control of Walt Disney World’s long time self governing district.
