Beginning this week, guests will be welcomed to EPCOT in a brand new way! Beloved characters inspired by our real world made fantastic are waiting to invite guests into the magic of possibility from the moment they arrive.
Walt Disney Imagineering has confirmed that EPCOT has new parking lot names based on Disney characters.
The entire lot has now been divided into two themes: the Earth side and the Space side.
Within these two sides, Disney have chosen to feature a variety of familiar characters: Crush, Dory, HeiHei, Moana, Rocket, Gamora, WALL-E, and Eve!
Imagineering say that as part of the continued transformation of EPCOT, they have made updates to the guest parking lot to introduce new lot names with familiar faces and refreshed paint, all reflecting the identity of the park and its four neighborhoods.
Once Walt Disney Imagineering installed the new signage overnight, parking cast members welcomed the new names for the EPCOT parking lots this morning.
Imagineering also confirmed that in addition to the new Space and Earth sides of the lot, redesigned auto plaza signage will be installed in the coming weeks to welcome guests to the park!
EPCOT has long celebrated art, murals, and mosaics, and these character graphics greet guests of all ages to the park in creative and memorable ways.
The art style used in these character graphics is the same as the EPCOT posters illustrating past, present, and future attractions.
