- Halloween Horror Nights Orlando shares confidential House Lineup for HHN 32 and it's very scary!
Halloween Horror Nights social media feed has today, April 1, shared a confidential email listing the entire line up of houses for this years event at Universal Studios Florida. The theme for this years event will be EVERYDAY HORRORS, and will highlight the most scary attractions every built for Halloween Horror Nights, including 1-4 Traffic at 5.15 pm, and Visiting Family (while single)! Ok, so of course this is an April Fool's Day joke, but seriously I would rather attend HHN 32 and be scared than sit in I-4 rush hour traffic any day of the week. Congrats to Universal Orlando for the joke! Scroll down for the spoof houses!! The theme of this year is "everyday horrors". You will see what we mean below. - "I-4 Traffic at 5:15 PM." Guests will feel transported and trapped into the mundane frustration of their everyday commute and will experience the greatest fear of all: being trapped in your car for 45 minutes contemplating life choices - "Visiting family (while single)." Nothing brings more dread, doom, and nerves than your 79 year old grandmother simply not understanding that you're not in a relationship, and asking over and over why you didn't invite your partner over. The only thing scarier than the dread, is her disappointment. "Those Not Remembered." Set in a grocery store, you are approached by a friendly face with a look of recognition, as they call out your name. Where do you know them from? Former coworker? Ex-classmate? What if you were even... *shudders* friends? You continue the conversation looking for a way to politely leave but they do NOT get the hint. - "Post Vacation Horrors". You're back to work after a nice, relaxing vacation. Your inbox is full, your to-do list is long, and all during lunch you're booking your next vacation, and like, sorta checking the property value of beachfront homes You can see the original Twitter pst below, Happy April 1st! Things To know Before Visiting Gideon’s At Disney Springs! Gideon’s Bakehouse is a popular single-owner small business based in Orlando that has gained international attention when it opened it's location at Disney Springs. It can get pretty crazy at the Disney Springs store with people waiting for hours to get their hands on a prized Gideon's near half pound cookie! To help you get enjoy lots of yummy Gideon's goodness, the bakery have shared some helpful information based on an average day to set an expectation and help you plan. • The bakery opens at 10 am, but the line typically begins to form at 9 am, when the parking garage opens. • Once the bakery opens, when the line gets too long, they switch to a Virtual Queue. This allows you to go anywhere while waiting for a return text. On weekdays the Virtual Queue can start anytime from open to evening or not at all, depending on crowds. On weekends and holidays it can happen right at 10am. After receiving your text, you will check in at the end of the return line. It looks scary but is typically no more than a 15-minute wait. For international guests, we will give you a return time if you can’t receive texts. • Sign up for the queue must be done in person. When active, you will find Gideon's staff to the right of the front door under the protection of Gideon's Gargoyle. • Plan for wait times of around two hours. For busy days (Friday through Sunday, holidays, holiday seasons), the virtual queue averages five hours. The earlier you arrive, the shorter the wait and the better the selection since limited edition items will sell out. A general rule, if you know the parks are slammed, we’re slammed. • On average, between 6 pm and 8 pm every day the virtual queue is active, and the waiting list will hit capacity. When this happens the bakery closes the queue to handle everyone on the list and to ensure the bakery closes on time. About the Artists Artist Allison Ataman Allison Ataman grew up on the east coast of Florida––not far from Walt Disney World Resort. As a child, Allison spent her days scribbling with crayons until these images came to life. She received her undergraduate degree in Business Sales/Marketing, and then later pursued her MBA in Information Technology Management from the Florida Institute of Technology. Allison’s family and friends play a significant role in her life, and she couldn’t have gotten to this point without their support. Allison always aspired to fulfill her dream of being an artist and is proud to be a member of the Thomas Kinkade family. She is excited to see her lifelong dream brought to fruition and to see how her relationship with art can grow in the future. Artist Jenna McMullins Jenna McMullins began her art career in 2017 after graduating with a degree in Design and Illustration. She has designed work for small businesses across the US, and just recently began making officially licensed prints for Lucasfilm Ltd. Her passion for Star Wars and Disney has driven her growth as an artist and continues to inspire her work. Jenna was introduced to Thomas Kinkade’s work in college, and that became her new inspiration, and her dream company to create for. One of her favorite uses of her artistic abilities is to raise money for charities through the sales of her prints. Artist Joseph Yakovetic Joe has a long history of rich experience as a contributor to the creative content of The Walt Disney Company—from costume and set design to caricaturing and pumpkin carving. In 2006, Joe began a new career as a featured artist for the Disney Galleries. - Walt Disney World update app - removing 50th Decor from Castle & barges from World Showcase Lagoon
The 18 month celebrations for Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary are over, and as the clock struck midnight, Walt Disney World waved its magic wand and removed the anniversary from its official website and app. The resorts digital map no longer show the 50th decor on Cinderella's Castle at Magic kingdom, and as the 50th Medallion on the front of the castle is removed for real beginning this weekend, on the map it is gone already together with the garlands that were added for the 50th. Interestingly the pink and blue collar scene remains, confirming the news that we told you that the new castle color scheme introduced for the 50th will remain. Below is a shot of the castle yesterday with the 50th decor still showing. Another feature removed from the map is the barges for Harmonious the nighttime show at World Showcase Lagoon in EPCOT. - Think Pink! Cinderella's Castle is expected to keep existing EARidescent color scheme
The 18 month Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary celebrations are over, coming to a end yesterday, March 31. With the party over, all that remains is to remove the decor from throughout the resort, and sell all the remaining merchandise! Yesterday, Walt Disney World confirmed that the phased removal of the 50th embellishments that were added to Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom would begin this weekend, including the 50th Anniversary medallion at the front of the castle. What Walt Disney World did not revealed is whether Cinderella Castle would keep its EARidescent color scheme or if it would return to its pre 50th Anniversary color scheme. Now we know that the current EARidescent color scheme of pink and blue at Cinderella Castle is set to remain beyond the 50th Anniversary celebration at the Magic Kingdom. All that is expected to change is the removal of the bunting, turret jewels, and the 50th Anniversary medallion. Also, we brought you the news yesterday that the Golden 50h Statues are to remain in the resort for now!
