Pom Pom’s Teahouse is busy again as Nighttime Sandwiches are put back on the menu!

Milk District restaurant Pom Pom's Teahouse & Sandwicheria has been in the news recently, what with no longer serving sandwiches in the evening, and then introducing cold noodles instead, all the while asking the local community for help as the restaurant struggles post pandemic, and now we have another update from Pom Pom's.

Back in March, regular award winning sandwich shop Pom Pom’s Teahouse and Sandwicheria revealed that is was changing up its menu and would no longer be offering its main menu item to diners at night - sandwiches.

So during the daytime hours the 17 year old Milk District business would still serve what it known for, delicious sandwiches, while on Wednesday through Thursday from 7 - 11 pm, Pom Pom's Teahouse & Sandwicheria would be serving up cold noodles.

Whether this has been successful or not, last week, Pom Pom's owner Pom Moongauklang posted on Facebook that the restaurant needed the communities support, citing that "nights aren't what it use to be."

Moongauklang explained that since the pandemic they are trying their best to stay open, all the while battling a lack of customers.

In the social post Moongauklang said "Please just give us the opportunity to serve you up some amazing sandwiches and now we have a cold noodle concept that is equally delicious." He continued "Please consider us as a meeting place before going out, to dance, see a concert, or just to catch up with friends. THANK YOU FOR ALLOWING US TO BE HERE FOR 17 YEARS. Please don't forget the goodtimes at PomPoms. We hope to see you soon."

With the lack of customers appearing to be a problem in the evenings it would certainly appear that the cold noodles are proving not to be as popular as the sandwiches, and the great news is that yes, the nighttime sandwiches are back on the menu!

=Pom Pom's will still have the cold noodles on the menu, but the sandwiches are back on the menu at night, with Moongauklang commenting “I heard you … LOUD AND CLEAR … You wanted the sandwich menu at night and you got it."

The very latest from Pom Pom's is that owner Pom Moongauklang has posted an update on Facebook yesterday, Sunday, June 5 with the good news that the restaurant has been very busy following his appeal for more business!

Here is the full update:

"It's been a week since I posted about how things were going at PomPoms... From our hearts we are very grateful for the support everyone has given us! THANK YOU TO ALL THE LOCAL BUSINESSES that has come by, used us for catering their staff or has cheered us on !! Its been very very emotional, your love for this tiny shop is undoubtedly been felt.. to the new customer that saw the post and came out. THANK YOU for giving us a chance, and letting us know it was your first time, and you came to support, and lastly to all the OG's that have been coming in for many years. It was great getting reconnected again with you we wouldn't be here this long if it wasn't for you."

So with the yummy sammies that everyone loves back on the menu, hopefully the tough times are behind the Orlando's award wining sandwich shop.
