Where to Pick Your Own Strawberries at U-Pick Farms near Orlando

In and around Central Florida you will discover the sweetest, most luscious strawberries around, and best of all there is lots of u-pick farms close to Orlando to pick them fresh and taste for yourself how delicious they are!!


Strawberries thrive in the Sunshine State in the winter months, particularly in west-central Florida, with strawberries in peak season from February through March.


Hillsborough County is considered the “belt line” of strawberry production because of its climate and daylength. Roughly 11,000 acres are currently reserved for growing strawberries in Hillsborough County alone, the state’s leading strawberry-producing county.


Citrus, Lee, Polk, Manatee and Miami-Dade are also leading producers of strawberries in our state.


There is lots of u-pick farms close to Orlando, strawberry picking is great fun for all the family, and best of all you get to enjoy lots and lots of yummy strawberries!


Helpful U-Pick Tips:

Dress comfortably. Wear loose fitting clothing.

Wear a hat or cap and bring sunscreen.

Bring your own containers.

If you plan to spend the day, take ice to keep berries cool.

Select only firm ripe berries.

Be careful not to remove the tops of the berries.

From November to May you can expect to pick some of the yummiest strawberries they grow in Saint Cloud, Florida at Mick Farms, a family farm, Market & U pick.

Towards the end of the season, Wish Farms opens select strawberry fields to the public, as well as local area food banks and other community organizations, to pick fresh berries.
