In the latest USA TODAY 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, two local water parks have been crowed winners.
Two local water parks are celebrating making a splash—literally—with Island H2O Water Park, and Aquatica Water Park both being named amongst the Best Outdoor Water Parks in the nation by USA TODAY’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards.
The 10Best Readers' Choice Awards highlight the best of the best in contests covering categories such as destinations, food and drink, hotels, and things to do. Nominees in all categories are submitted by a panel of experts. 10Best editors select the final nominees before presenting them to the public for final voting.
10Best Readers' Choice Awards asked a panel of experts to nominate their favorite outdoor water parks in the country for the ultimate day of sun and fun, then the public voted for their top picks, with Island H2O Water Park in Kissimmee, securing fourth spot in the best water parks in the country list.
Island H2O Water Park is an outdoor aqua attraction in Kissimmee, located right next to Margaritaville Resort Orlando.
Guests can enjoy the shade of a full-service cabana or experience the thrills of body slides, high-speed rafting, tube slides, six-lane racing, or floating down a lazy river
Aquatica Orlando located on International Drive, Orlando has been named number two in the nation, being beaten to the top spot by Splashway Waterpark - Sheridan, Texas.
SeaWorld’s first and most popular water park, Aquatica Orlando, draws 1.5 million visitors per year while seamlessly integrating sea life into rides. Its signature attraction, Reef Plunge, is an enclosed tube slide that passes through a pool of playful, black-and-white Commerson’s dolphins.
Guests can also take a leisurely raft ride down Loggerhead Lane, through colorful exotic fish.
Aquatica's South Seas theme is further enhanced by 60,000 lush, tropical plants covering its 60 acres.
