The Orlando Renaissance Festival takes place this weekend from Friday throughSunday, Dec. 9-11, all manner of pride and pageantry will be on offer at Southport Community Park.

Lords and ladies are invited to travel through time back to the 14th century, where fairies dance, and magic looms.

The Orlando Renaissance Festival was founded to benefit education and the arts in the Greater Orlando Area, providing a venue for artisans and craftspeople to market their treasures, stages for entertainers to amaze and excite their audiences, and a unique opportunity for education through historical exhibitions and demonstrations,.

Festivities start at 10 a.m. each day. Tickets are still available through the Festival website.

Venardos Circus

Created by former Ringling Bros. Ringmaster Kevin Venardos (veh-NARR-dos), the Venardos Circus wraps world-class animal-free circus acts into a Broadway Musical-style format dubbed “The American Circus with the heart of a Broadway Show.”

Venardos Circus at Hamlin Gardens, Winter Park, proudly features its own custom-made big-top, a classic red-and-white striped tent, with an intimate feel and limited seating.

The circus performers also are the crew in this traveling tour, much like the original circus tradition.

There are no animals in Venardos Circus. Guests can expect to be transported back in time to the center ring of a centuries-old tradition, but one that has been reinvented for the next generation. Theatre lovers and nostalgic circus fans alike will appreciate the intimate experience and sentimental way the show pays homage to circus traditions through the lens of high-quality entertainment for a modern family audience.

Downtown Orlando have announced a surprise Holiday Drone light Show for this weekend, Sunday December 11, at 7pm in Lake Eola Park.

The show will feature a dazzling display of synchronized drones flying in formation to create beautiful holiday-themed designs in the night sky.

The drones will be equipped with colorful LED lights that will illuminate the park and create a magical atmosphere for visitors to enjoy.

Attendees will be able to sit back and watch the 10-minute light show from the comfort of their own blankets and lawn chairs.

Hot cocoa and other festive treats will be available for purchase near the holiday market, making it the perfect family-friendly event.

Boys Town Central Florida Candy Cane 5K

At Boys Town Central Florida Candy Cane 5K,

Now Snowing in Celebration, Central Florida’s original and premier Snowing event, offers one of the area’s only synthetic ice rinks, special community performances by some of the area’s top young talent, and special concert events throughout the season

Now Snowing is a month-long Winter Wonderland Spectacular featuring strolling Charles Dickens style Carolers, photos with Santa, horse drawn carriage rides, train rides, ice skating, and nightly snowfall at 6:00, 7:00, 8:00 and 9:00 pm. It’s a true throwback to the traditional family style holiday.

Pirates Dinner Adventure Holiday Show

Ho! Ho! Ho! If you’re looking for a new tradition the whole family will love, get ready for a jolly good time and a swashbuckling adventure right here in Orlando, Santa’s even made his way from the North Pole to Central Florida to celebrate the holidays at Pirates Dinner Adventure!

Starting November 25, Pirates Dinner Adventure will be spreading Christmas cheer with extra special holiday offerings through December 31.

Guests can experience the action, romance and excitement of the classic dinner show with a holiday overlay featuring Christmas music and a ship-side visit from a special guest at the end of the show!

During the post-show Buccaneer Bash, guests can party with pirates and take pictures with the Jolly Old Elf himself!
