Every fourth Friday of the month from May through September, join Central Florida Zoo for Sunset at the Zoo, and at only $6 per ticket when purchased in advance, you'll want to bring the family to every Sunset at the Zoo this summer!
The popular summertime event, Sunset at the Zoo is returning to Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens, located at 3755 W. Seminole Blvd. Sanford.
The all-ages after hours event, Sunset at the Zoo, allows friends and families to enjoy some extra-hours fun - but with an added twist, celebrating the connections that inspire people to take action for wildlife, while also forging connections with different cultures in our communities.
Each month’s event will celebrate a culture, complete with activities, food and educational opportunities.
Sunset at the Zoo takes place on the fourth Friday of every month from May to September, with the zoo opening at 5 pm, ready for lots of wild fun until the sun goes down.
Enjoy an evening full of live music and entertainment, cultural enrichment, themed keeper chats, some of your favorite local food trucks, and best of all, the chance to see some of your favorite animals after the heat of the day.
Get ready for an exciting Sunset at the Zoo season in 2024! Dates and themes for 2024 are as follows:
May 24 – Asian American & Pacific Islander Heritage
June 28 – LGBTQ+ Pride
July 26 – Black & African American Heritage
August 23 – Native American & Alaska Native Heritage
September 27 – Hispanic Heritage
“The Zoo is a place for the community, and we want it to feel welcoming to all communities and cultures,” said Richard E. Glover, Jr., the Zoo’s CEO. “We’re very excited to roll out this newly imagined version of our favorite summer event and look forward to celebrating with our patrons.”
Last admission for each event is 7:30 pm. Enjoy the cooler evening temperatures at the Zoo for a WILD low price.
