Join Haines City to celebrate Independence Day at Thunder On The Ridge, a Polk County 4th of July tradition!

Residents and visitors are invited to Lake Eva Park for one of Polk County's biggest and best fireworks displays.

Celebrate Independence Day in Haines City during the free Thunder on the Ridge celebrations on Saturday July 4, 2026

Thunder on the Ridge is Haines City’s signature July 4th celebration. Since 1998, residents and people across Central Florida have joined Haines City to celebrate this memorable event, and this year the event is going all out to celebrate America's 250th!

An annual tradition, this memorable event offers traditional family fun for the entire family. Thunder on the Ridge will have plenty of cold beer, food, live entertainment, children’s activities, and much more.

The event takes place at Lake Eva Park which has a lot of green space and multiple play areas for kids. While the park as a lot of picnic pavilions throughout, we would suggest that you bring chairs and blankets.

Activities throughout the day include:

Food trucks

Duke Energy Kids Zone with inflatable water slides and games, face painters, balloon artists, and more

Yard Games

Beer Garden

5:00 - 5:30 pm: Bishop Hollywood & Taye Ricks

6:00 - 9:00 pm: Uptown Royalty Band
