Enjoy a 4th of July Celebration at Avalon Park celebrating America's 250th with family fun and fireworks

Celebrate teh 250th Anniversary of America in Avalon Park! Clebrate the 4th of July with a 5K, Bike Parade, Apple Pie Bake-Off, and Fireworks!

Avalon Park is inviting friends, families, and neighbors to come together for a patriotic celebration at the Avalon Park 4th of July Celebration, honoring America’s 250th Anniversary, on Saturday, July 4 in Downtown Avalon Park.

The community will gather to celebrate independence, tradition, and hometown pride with a full day of festive activities for all ages. Enjoy live entertainment, local food vendors, an apple pie bake-off, a festive bike parade, activities for kids, and a spectacular fireworks finale to close out the night.

The day begins with the Firecracker 5K in the morning, making it a full day of red, white, and blue fun for all ages.

Avalon Park is an 1,860-acre neighborhood located in southeast Orange County, nestled beside the natural surroundings of the Econlockhatchee River. Read on for all the 4th of July fun!

FIRECRACKER 5K

The Avalon Park Foundation Firecracker 5K kicks off the day’s Independence Day celebrations with an energetic morning start. Whether you plan to run, jog, walk, stroll, or roll through Downtown Avalon Park, this community favorite is a fun way to celebrate while supporting the Foundation’s grants and scholarship programs.

BIKE PARADE

Head to the Avalon Park Gym and Wellness Center to start the patriotic bike parade around Avalon Lake! Deck out your bikes, strollers, or wagons in red, white, and blue and be at the starting point by 6:30 pm. At the end, prizes will be distributed to those with the most creative and best group entries. All are invited to be a part of this amazing community event! There is no cost to register, but participants are encouraged to do so before July 3rd online.

APPLE PIE BAKE OFF

Do you fancy yourself as the creator of the most scrumptious apple pie? Then join the 2026 Apple Pie Bake-off! Individuals are invited to enter a homemade apple pie by registering online before July 3rd. The top three submissions will be awarded cash prizes and announced at the Town Park stage during Avalon Park’s 4th of July festival at 7:30 pm.

FIREWORKS & LIVE MUSIC

Avalon Park’s 4th of July festivities culminate with an evening of fun for all the family, featuring bounce houses, facepainting, vendors, food & drinks, community performances, live music, and a spectacular firweorks finale at 9 pm.
