The fast expanding drive-thru coffee chain, Dutch Bros, plan on opening 150 new locations in 2023, including several in Florida.
As part of the companies expansion, Dutch Bros, have already revealed plans to built a stand alone drive-thru at the Cornerstone at Lake Hart Shopping Center at 10615 Narcoossee Road, and now this will be now be joined by a second Orlando location.
According to plans filled with the county, the restaurant will be located at 12200 Lake Underhill Road, on a location that will be build on the parking lot of the neighboring Lowe’s.
Up until now the chain has been absent from Florida, and the new Orlando locations will be the first of many planned for the state.
Dutch Bros, opened 133 stores last year, and places the coffee brand at 671 locations, and in terms of unit count, the only coffee chains bigger than Dutch Bros in the U.S. are Starbucks and Dunkin’.
Specializing in caffeinated beverages, Dutch Bros offers a wide variety of coffee options such as cold brew, chai, hot coffees, and energy drinks.
Dutch Bros also offers teas, lemonades, smoothies, and the brand’s signature dutch sodas.
Dane and Travis Boersma, brothers of Dutch descent, founded Dutch Bros. in Grants Pass, Oregon, in 1992.
Their family was in the dairy business, and they were looking for a way out, so they bought an espresso machine and began making coffee.
They built a coffee stand in Grants Pass, Oregon and started serving coffee, and the rest as they say is history.
