Beginning November 11. The Holiday Magic Returns To Walt Disney World For 2022

Walt Disney World officially welcomes Christmas on November 11, 2022 this year, and there are so many themed experiences to unwrap throughout the resort this upcoming holiday season.


The big news from Walt Disney World this year is the fabulous return of Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party to the Magic Kingdom with the holly jolly event returning on select nights from November 8 through December 22, 2022 and you can find full details on this years event here.



In addition to Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party at the Magic Kingdom, you'll discover festive fun throughout the entire Walt Disney World Resort this year.


The entire Walt Disney World Resort will be decked out in whimsical décor that creates a nostalgic and joyous atmosphere. From twinkling trees and glittering ornaments to an abundance of tinsel and wreaths, the distinct personality of each Walt Disney World theme park shines brighter during the holidays.



Highlights at the theme parks include the return of the annual Candlelight Processional in the American Gardens Theatre at EPCOT during the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays, which starts on November 25, plus also at EPCOT the new Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind roller coaster will receive a Christmas overlay set to seasonal on-ride music.



At Disney’s Hollywood Studios For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration will feature a festive finale starring Olaf, the lovable snowman from the movie, Frozen.



Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, A Merry Menagerie of life-size, artisan-sculpted puppets themed as winter animals will return throughout the holiday season.



Disney Springs Town Center will be the site of magical snowfalls that bring the spirit of the North Pole to Central Florida, and the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Stroll will also return, creating a pathway of Disney character-inspired Christmas trees.



At select resorts watch for artisan-made gingerbread displays, and holiday merchandise collections will be available at select retail outlets across Walt Disney World Resort.



During the holidays select theme park icons will continue to transform into Beacons of Magic, illuminating select nights with an EARidescent glow. Plus, as a special yuletide surprise for guests, the magic will continue as each park celebrates the season with a delightful rotation of unique heartwarming holiday-themed displays.



The holiday season will be an especially busy time for Jolly Old St. Nick as he makes special appearances throughout Walt Disney World.


Catch him cruising down Hollywood Boulevard in his candy-apple red convertible at Disney’s Hollywood Studios during the Santa Claus Merry Motorcade and voyaging across the Discovery River as part of a festive flotilla at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park.



Santa Claus will continue to spread the joyous spirit of the season during visits to Magic Kingdom Park and Disney Springs, where guests may have individual time to take photos and share their Christmas wishes.


Finally, at EPCOT, Santa Claus will join storytellers from around the world as a part of the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays presented by AdventHealth beginning Nov. 25



Always a highlight of the holidays at Walt Disney World is the delicious food and drink offerings.


The Holiday Cookie Stroll will return to EPCOT this year, inviting guests to partake in a sweet scavenger hunt during the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. The festival will also herald mouthwatering menus of traditional and inspired adaptations of holiday dishes from around the world at special Holiday Kitchens.



At Disney Springs, Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar becomes Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar and will feature yuletide touches alongside festive food and craft cocktails.



Select dining locations throughout Walt Disney World will celebrate the season with tasty winter-inspired dishes.
