America is turning 250, and Mount Dora is celebrating the way only a true small town can.

This July 4, downtown Mount Dora will come alive for the City of Mount Dora’s Independence Day Parade, a patriotic tradition along Donnelly Street filled with local groups, decorated entries, families, neighbors, and plenty of red, white, and blue.

And this year, the moment feels even bigger. As communities across the country prepare to mark America’s 250th anniversary, Mount Dora’s parade has earned national attention from Southern Living, which featured it among 10 small-town Fourth of July parades that capture the classic charm of Independence Day.

This Independence Day, celebrate America's 250th Anniversary at 4th of July events throughout Orlando and Central Florida. Check out our Guide to celebrating the 4th of July in Orlando.

On Saturday, July 4, 2026 at 10 am, the parade will begin at Donnelly Street and Seventh Avenue and run to Charles Avenue, bringing one of Mount Dora’s most beloved downtown traditions back to the heart of the city.

Come early, grab breakfast or coffee downtown, find your spot along the route, and enjoy a Fourth of July morning in one of the South’s most celebrated small-town parade destinations.
