- Jon Batiste brings the ‘The Big Money Tour: Jon Batiste Plays America’ to Orlando on October 10
Jon Batiste will bring his electrifying live show to Orlando on October 10, marking only his second-ever headlining run. Multi-Grammy and Academy Award winner Jon Batiste is bringing ‘The Big Money Tour: Jon Batiste Plays America’ to Orlando this weekend. Batiste will take to the stage at Dr Phillips Center's Walt Disney Theater on October 10, 2025. Batiste invites audiences to join him in a musical odyssey that stretches from Bach and Beethoven to blues, jazz, hip‑hop, and beyond. Tickets are still available. https://www.drphillipscenter.org/events/tickets/2025/jon-batiste/ The tour comes on the heels of performing the national anthem at this year’s Super Bowl and “Beethoven Blues,” which reimagined the famed German pianist’s work and debuted No. 1 on Billboard’s classical albums chart. Batiste, a Louisiana native, is known for his signature rich blend of R&B, hip-hop, swing, jazz and pop. He’s also the former bandleader for the “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.” Batiste’s latest project, Beethoven Blues (Batiste Piano Series, Vol. 1), released November 2024 via Verve/Interscope, reimagines Beethoven’s masterworks through the lens of the blues—imbuing each movement with fresh rhythmic vitality while honoring the composer’s indomitable spirit. Critics have hailed the album as a brilliant fusion of classical integrity and Batiste’s open‑armed inclusivity (New York Times), and it marks the inaugural installment of his ambitious solo‑piano series. The pianist’s recent achievements further underscore his artistic versatility. His innovative score for Jason Reitman’s feature Saturday Night, underscored live on set in October 2024, marries jazz, classical, and contemporary textures to conjure the frenetic energy of SNL’s 1975 debut. Batiste also earned an Academy Award nomination (and multiple Grammy nods) for the song “It Never Went Away,” co‑written with Dan Wilson for Matthew Heineman’s Netflix documentary American Symphony. Batiste’s career milestones include serving as bandleader for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert (2015–2022); winning five Grammys—including Album of the Year for We Are (2021), which made history with eleven nominations; and earning an Academy Award, Golden Globe, BAFTA, NAACP Image Award, and Critics’ Choice Award for co‑composing Pixar’s Soul (2020) alongside Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. - Clawhauser Audio-Animatronic revealed for Zootopia: Better Zoogether at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Clawhauser Audio-Animatronic revealed for Zootopia: Better Zoogether, opening November 7 at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Starting at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park, get ready to clap your paws and click your claws when Zootopia: Better Zoogether! opens on November 7 in the iconic Tree of Life Theater. It’s a “4D” show you won’t want to miss, as the residents of Zootopia are gearing up for Zoogether Day, a citywide celebration . On this special day, all kinds of animals join together with performances from many of the diverse biomes that make up the city. In Zootopia: Better Zoogether!, the Tree of Life Theater is the epicenter of Zoogether Day with fast-talking, loud-howling wolf host Heidi Howler presenting a watch party where the audience of mammals big and small will catch all the festivities via livestream. Guests to Animal Kingdom will get to join the fun too, with everyone invited to wear special “Carrot Vision” glasses as part of the watch party experience, and thanks to the 3D glasses, some of your favorite characters from Zootopia and Zootopia 2 will “jump” off the screen … except for Gazelle’s number one fan and off-duty ZPD officer. That’s right, Benjamin Clawhauser himself will be in the theater with the audience, in the form of an all-new Audio-Animatronics figure! Check out the latest theme park news and updates from Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, SeaWorld Orlando, LEGOLAND Florida, and Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. At the Zoogether Day watch party, he’ll be decked out from head to tail with a brand-new look: glow necklaces and his favorite, glittery Gazelle tee shirt. This larger-than-life fan wants nothing more than to be picked as the V.I.Z. (Very Important Zootopian – the lucky mammal who will get special access to the Zoogether Day performers). And when that doesn’t work out, he has to take matters into his own paws. - Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets to open Summer 2026 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Get ready to rock out with the Muppets as Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets races into Disney’s Hollywood Studios next year, including Scooter as an Audio-Animatronics figure! The roads will be rockin’ and the party won't be stoppin’ when Scooter, Kermit, Miss Piggy, Animal and the Muppets gang take over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios next year, and Walt Disney World has revealed that Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets will be opening in Summer 2026. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, will take guests on a wild ride across Hollywood with the Electric Mayhem – complete with backstage chaos, high-speed thrills, that signature Muppet humor… and an all-new Muppet Audio-Animatronics figure. Side by side with a dedicated team of penguin audio engineers, Scooter, in his capacity as band manager, will be trying hard to convince the Electric Mayhem to stop laying down tracks so they won’t be late to their own concert. This will be the first time Scooter has ever been imagined as an Audio-Animatronics figure, and Scotter will not be the only Muppet Audio-Animatronics figure joining the attraction… but we’ll have to wait to learn more about that. The Muppets transformation begins in the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Courtyard. Legendary Muppet tycoon and owner of The Muppet Theatre, J.P. Grosse, purchased G-Force Records and enlisted the help of his trusty nephew Scooter to run the place and completely transform the courtyard. A new psychedelic wrap gives the iconic red guitar marquee a groovy twist (inspired by a classic Muppet car paint job), and the piano motif at the base of the guitar will feature one gold key as a nod to a certain far-out band leader’s gold tooth. Once inside the queue, VIP visitors will discover The Muppets band Electric Mayhem laying down new tracks inside the recording studio. In the booth, a team of penguin audio engineers are hard at work while band manager Scooter tries to persuade the musicians to wrap up and get to their increasingly restless fans. Check out the latest theme park news and updates from Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, SeaWorld Orlando, LEGOLAND Florida, and Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. With help from Muppet Labs (and a very fast limousine), guests will take a twisting, turning, and screamingly fun road trip across Hollywood to reach the concert in time. The iconic scenery and landmarks of Tinseltown will feature a Muppet twist while a soundtrack of iconic, rockin’ hits performed by Electric Mayhem keeps the adrenaline pumping. - Cool News - Projection Face Audio Animatronics to be replaced on Frozen Ever After at EPCOT
Anna, Elsa and Kristoff Audio-Animatronics figures at EPCOT will be getting refreshed to closely resemble those at Hong Kong Disneyland's World of Frozen. In the Norway pavilion at EPCOT, guests have been sailing through the story of Princess Anna and Queen Elsa on Frozen Ever After since it debuted in 2016. It is full of Audio-Animatronics figures – from Sven and Kristoff, an ice-skating Olaf, Marshmellow and a whole herd of Snowgies, and of course, Anna and Elsa. Many of these figures were groundbreaking in the world of Audio-Animatronics – not just as part of the first Frozen attraction, but also as the first attraction to have all electric Audio-Animatronics figures, and the first to combine electric motors and 3D printing. To build the attraction and make it feel like the enchanted Frozen story, it all came down to one wrist. Elsa is known for her magical, ice-forming hand gestures; for her Audio-Animatronics figure to handle the fluid movements just like Elsa does on screen, Imagineers needed enough space to run cables and motors down her arms and hands. They figured out how big Elsa’s wrist needed to be and scaled everything else in the attraction to match. Since then, Walt Disney Imagineering has built upon that very technology of all-electric motors, 3D printing, and scaling for every figure they produce – from Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Walt Disney World and Disneyland, to Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival at Tokyo DisneySea, and World of Frozen at Hong Kong Disneyland. Check out the latest theme park news and updates from Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, SeaWorld Orlando, LEGOLAND Florida, and Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. And, in a full circle moment of innovation, the Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff Audio-Animatronics figures will soon receive new updates after ten years of delighting fans in Frozen Ever After. Taking inspiration from the advancements seen in figures at World of Frozen in Hong Kong Disneyland, the Frozen Ever After figures will bring the latest in Audio-Animatronics to EPCOT, with the new Audio-Animatronics to debut early next year. The whizzing sound of cold foam being gently placed on top. If these things elicit a need for coffee now, there’s great news for those visiting the Walt Disney World Resort ! To satisfy your coffee cravings, drink up brand-new, unique, and highly themed cold brew offerings are coming to all four parks. Not only are four new specialty cold brew offerings on the horizon, but the cold brew spots across Disney World are expanding. These select locations already serve hot coffee, but next time you’re craving something silky smooth, you can pop over to Energy Bytes, Sunshine Seasons, Dockside Diner, or Restaurantosaurus to grab a cup. Plus, find cold brew offerings at new Disney Springs locations and select hotels for your world adventures. And, what’s a refreshing cold brew without cold foam? Yes, that offering is expanding, too. So whether it’s 9 am or 5 pm., or sometime in-between, it’s always the perfect time to grab some coffee.
