Touch-a-Truck will give children the opportunity to learn more about their favorite trucks and vehicles they see daily. The City of Maitland has a brand new family activity to put on your calendar! The Maitland Public Works Department will host a touch-a-truck event from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, June 9, in Independence Square with lots of really big and unique trucks, heavy equipment, and emergency vehicles. Bring the kids for a fun, up-close look at the machines that make the city work. Learn how the Public Works Department manages everything from public utilities and stormwater cleanup to grounds maintenance and more. Publix has launched its latest lineup of limited-edition summer ice cream flavors, and is hitting the road with an ice cream truck full of free samples of the grocery stores summer flavors. The ice cream truck will be rolling into various location across the sunshine state this summer, including Orlando and Tampa. The Lakeland-based grocery chain's summer lineup of limited edition ice cream flavors are available now through August 30 in half-gallon tubs. Included in the eight limited edition summertime flavors is a returning Publix associate favorite that was previously listed as retired!
