For the full A - Z Guide, click here: https://floridaclassic.org/a-z-guide/ For tickets: https://floridaclassic.org/tickets/ The Florida Classic, operated by Florida Citrus Sports , the non-profit group behind the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl and the Pop-Tarts Bowl , is a longstanding tradition dating back nearly a century. It is more than just the nation’s largest annual HBCU football game — it’s a celebration of sports, family, music, and culture woven into the fabric of Central Florida. Today, it is one of the most anticipated college football bowl games in the country and boasts an average of 60,000 spectators per game. The highest attendance, 73,358 attendees, was recorded in Orlando in 2003. Fans who miss the game can also catch it from the comfort of their homes, courtesy of ESPN Networks. ESPN Classic has been televising the action-packed game nationally in the past years as part of their multi-year contract with former B-CU and FAMU conference—Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC). Despite the teams’ departure for the Southwestern Athletic Conference, it seems the ESPN Network will keep televising the game nationally. What’s more, the game garners the winning university bragging rights. It also offers the perfect recruitment opportunity for both universities as current students, prospects, and parents interact. Currently, 1 in 7 people in Central Florida are food insecure, which means they don't have reliable access to healthy food. This includes more than 500,000 people who don't know where their next meal will come from. In support of efforts to fight hunger across our region, the City of Orlando created Art Pollination, a unique initiative that leverages the power of art and creativity to raise awareness of (and promote approaches to address) the shared challenges of food insecurity and hunger in our community. Supported by a $1 million Bloomberg Philanthropies Public Art Challenge grant, Art Pollination serves as a venue for local artists to create work in and around this important issue.  Beginning on Thursday, November 20, guests to City Arts can see and experience a range of artistic works by these local artists. The exhibition runs from November 20, 2025 - December 14, 2025. The opening event will feature Honey Ice Cream from Smiles Ice Cream made in partnership with Black Bee Honey. The opening of Art Pollination: Building Food Justice through Creativity, art exhibition opens at Downtown Arts District 3rd Thursday event this Thursday, November 20, 2025.
