Winter Park International Food & Music Festival brings global flavors, music and culture, Oct. 24

From Colombian empanadas and Jamaican jerk chicken to handcrafted treasures and live music from around the world, the sights, sounds and flavors of cultures across Central Florida will come together Saturday, Oct. 24, for the inaugural Winter Park International Food & Music Festival.

Presented by Calvary International Language School (CILS), the free, family-friendly

celebration will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Calvary Orlando, 1199 Clay St. in Winter

Park.

The event invites neighbors of all ages and backgrounds to experience

international cuisine, cultural performances, local businesses and activities designed to

bring the community together.

Beyond the food, music and festivities, the event supports the mission of CILS, helping

adult learners develop English-language skills, build confidence and form meaningful

connections that open doors to new opportunities and a stronger sense of belonging in

their community.

“Our students come from all over the world, and each brings a story, traditions and a

culture worth celebrating,” said Maria Kringel, co-lead pastor of Calvary Orlando. “This

festival is an opportunity to share those gifts with our neighbors through food, music and

meaningful connections. We hope people leave having experienced something new,

met someone new and discovered that no matter where we come from or what

language we speak, everyone has something to contribute and a place at the table.”

Festival highlights include:

● International food and flavors: Guests can sample Colombian empanadas from

Tipiks, Jamaican favorites from Paula’s Jamaican Cuisine, smash burgers and fries

from The Fry Shoppe, pastries and desserts from La Macarena Bakery and Nikki

Elouise Bakery, refreshing Italian ice from Little Marco’s Italian Ice and more.

● Live music and cultural performances: A celebration of the musical traditions and

cultural expressions that reflect Central Florida’s diverse communities, with

entertainment throughout the day.

● Local artisans and small businesses: A marketplace featuring handmade jewelry,

specialty goods, art and interactive shopping experiences from vendors including The

Flowered Moment, Valant’s, MP Beads and More, Sunflower Soap Co., Queen Bee

Mercantile and Frostedslimers.

● Family-friendly fun: A dedicated Kids Zone and activities for children and families,

creating opportunities for guests of all ages to participate in the celebration.

“Calvary Orlando has always been passionate about creating a place where people feel

welcomed, valued and connected,” Kringel said. “This festival is a beautiful reflection of

that heart. We want families to come together, celebrate what makes our neighbors

unique and discover how much we have in common. When we create opportunities to

connect across cultures, we make our entire community stronger.”

Admission is free and open to the public. Food and merchandise will be available for

purchase directly from participating vendors. Festival sponsorships, vendor participation

fees and designated donations will benefit CILS and its ongoing work serving adult

learners throughout Central Florida.
