Wekiva Island offers a month of spooky fun for the whole family!

Celebrate spooky season at Wekiva Island with fun for the whole family with tarot reading, trick or treating, and a Halloween Party on October 24.

Dark, silent water. Clouds drifting across the moon. The wind blowing through the Spanish moss. Things are getting downright spooky at Wekiva Island.

The Seminole County attraction is going bigger than ever for its Halloween celebration this year with a month of new and fun events for the whole family. 

Events include:



• NEW! Tarot Card Reading with Black Dog Tarot. Oct. 10 and 24, 7 to 10 p.m. 3 cards, $15. Ask a question—or let the cards decide.

• Ghost Stories of the Wekiva with Don Philpott. Oct. 13, 21, and 28, 6 to 7 p.m. Free. Learn from a renowned journalist, author and master naturalist about the creepy tales of Wekiva River past.

• NEW! Tarot Card Class for Beginners. Oct. 26, 6 to 8 p.m. $50. Dive into history, symbolism and intuition in this class taught by Black Dog Tarot—and take the cards home with you.

Orlando Halloween Events Guide 2026 with Frightful Fun for Everyone!

Of course, the main event of October at Wekiva Island is the annual Halloween Party and Costume Contest. The 2026 event will take place Oct. 24 from 7 to 11 p.m. The adults-only event is free to attend with live music from Atlantic Alibi. The costume contest starts at 8 p.m., and winners take home major rewards.

• Wekiva’s Wickedest—$500 cash and a $500 Wekiva Island Gift Card

• 1st Place—$300 Cash and a $200 Wekiva Island Gift Card

• 2nd Place—$250 Cash and a $100 Wekiva Island Gift Card

• 3rd Place—$150 Cash and a $50 Wekiva Island Gift Card

• Best group—A Beach Club Rental and Cabana Feast for up to 20 guests

But the littlest ghosts and goblins won’t be left out! New this year, before the adults take over, is a Tooting Otter Trick or Treat event from 2 to 3 p.m. Oct. 24. Kids can fill their buckets with trick or treat stations under the Solar Array. Then, at 3, they’ll have the chance to show off their costumes with a costume parade. The event is for kids from babies to age 13, and children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

To cap off the month of fun, Paddleboard Orlando will have its annual Halloween Costume Parade Paddle on Oct. 31. Launch begins at 10:30 a.m., with judges in front of Wekiva Island from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. The event is free to those who bring their own boards, with rentals available.

All the fun is in addition to another new addition to Wekiva Island—The Cypress Cove Coven pop-up cabana. This popular rental space will be decked out with floating candles, spell books, spooky lighting and more to bring a true Halloween vibe from Oct. 1-31. For more information or to book, click here.
