Wekiva Island launches red hot summer offers for Community Appreciation Summer

Many are feeling the squeeze on the budget this summer, especially as parents try to fill the days and plan some fun for the kids while they’re out of school. But this season, Wekiva Island is making it a little easier.

The sustainable business is launching Community Appreciation Summer, with special deals on weekdays to encourage time together in nature.

Deals include:

  • Summer Splash Tuesdays—50 percent off canoe, kayak and paddleboard rentals every Tuesday

  • Hump Day Wednesdays—50 percent off Wednesday cabanas and special event space rentals throughout the summer

  • Double the Fun Thursdays—Buy One, Get One Free canoe, kayak and paddleboard rentals every Thursday on the Wekiva River

All deals are valid on the specific days from June 1, 2026, to September 7, 2026 (Labor Day).

The effort is meant to serve as a thank you to guests who have supported Wekiva Island for nearly two decades, as well as make it easier for everyone to gather and make memories in a special Florida place this summer.

“Food prices are going up. Gas prices are going up,” said Bill Weinaug, owner of Wekiva Island. “Wekiva Island has always been a place to enjoy a slice of the real Florida, to gather and connect. We want to make it easier for the people who have supported us and those who have not had a chance yet to visit and make memories with us.”
