Velocity E-Sports is set to open a new entertainment destination in downtown Orlando

Downtown Orlando is set to become a beacon for gamers and esports enthusiasts as a huge new arcade, gaming and entertainment destination is coming to N. Orange Avenue.

Velocity Esports has revealed that they are setting up home at Society Orlando, an under construction residential tower at 434 N. Orange Ave.


The company that already has locations in Las Vegas and Cincinnati, together with a third opening soon in Chicago, has signed a lease for the ground floor of the new tower in downtown Orlando

The new Velocity Esports entertainment destination which is set to open in 2024 will feature state-of-the-art esports lounges with the latest technology and professional level gaming chairs, a vast selection of arcade games, prizes, 100+ esports titles, social gaming lounges, live tournaments and other in-person entertainment features.

The venue will also boast a Bar and Grill which will offer a fresh take on modern American and Mexican classics and craft cocktails and mocktails.

“As part of Velocity Esports’ expansion strategy into Florida, Orlando was the perfect choice with its growing residential population and the opportunity to capitalize on the more than 74 million annual visitors to the region,” Executive Chairman Philip Kaplan said. “We are excited to have our concept join such a forward-looking project like Society Orlando and are eager to welcome customers in 2024.”


The massive 484-unit, mixed-use Society 16 storey development will feature over 34,000 SF of commercial space on the ground floor, together with a fitness center, a rooftop pool, restaurants, and more, when complete.
