Celebrate spooky season on the Wekiva River with fun for the whole family at The Tooting Otter Trick or Treat.
Things are getting jus a little spooky at Wekiva Island, with the popular attraction going bigger than ever for its Halloween celebration this year with a fun tick or treating event for the whole family.
Calling all little river rats, swamp creatures, ghosts, goblins and costumed critters!
Halloween is taking over Wekiva Island on Saturday, October 24, 2026 for an afternoon of treats, costumes and a little old-fashioned Island mischief.
From 2 - 3 pm, kids can trick-or-treat their way beneath our Solar Array, stopping along the way to fill their buckets with candy. And don’t fret! Idea Bar has you covered with a fun and free kids craft where your little ones can design their own sustainable trick or treat tote bag! You never know what might be lurking around the next corner—a friendly witch, a wandering ghost, or maybe an otter who got into the Halloween candy.
Then at 3 pm, the’re gathering all of the tiny monsters for the Wekiva Island Halloween Costume Parade! Strut, stomp, waddle or fly your way through the Island and show everyone what you’ve got.

Halloween Costume Parade: 3 pm
