Calling all boos & ghouls for a day of spooky fun at OMA!

Orlando Museum of Art is hosting two spooky events for the local community on Halloween, Friday, October 31.
These events are a great way for families to experience art, celebrate the season, and get creative together.
From 10.30 am - 12 pm, everyone young and old can participate in Art Adventures: Mask Making Mania, when participants can decorate their own Halloween masks using paint, foil, yarn, gems and more.
Then from 1 - 3 pm, kids ages 7 - 12 can enjoy Art in the Afternoon: Halloween Masquerade. A children’s workshop where they’ll go on a scavenger hunt through the galleries of the museum to find spooky works of art, then create their own Halloween-inspired masks and other art.
Check out the latest Halloween News from throughout Central Florida. Whether it’s the grown ups looking for a full on horror experience, or you and the kids wanting to enjoy a family friendly Halloween party, there’s plenty to do this spooky season in Orlando!
Art Adventures: Mask Making Mania (Friday, October 31, from 10:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.):
This Halloween unmask your creativity! Be inspired by the art of Nick Cave, as well as masks on view in the Art of the Ancient Americas Collection.
Decorate your own Halloween mask using paint, foil, yarn, gems, and more—each piece telling a story about who you are and what gives you strength. Learn how masks were, and still are, often used during ceremonies to symbolize or express something. You’ll learn how making art can help us express the parts of ourselves we usually keep hidden (in a good way!).
Come ready to get messy, creative, and into the Halloween spirit!
